Been working on a couple collabs lately and this is one of them. Me and @babedrienne have been working on this little weirdo for a minute 😂 and I’m fucking stoked on how it’s coming together. Her style mixed with my weird shit is making some pretty fucking cool stuff. Keep an eye out. We got a couple more collabs in the works too. 👀🔥 by @headydidys

Samples are in and feeling hella nice on the face 😎🤓 🔥 NEW HEADY DIDY’S DROP 🔥 We built these for people who actually work behind a torch — not just to look good. Heady Didy’s use impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses and safety-rated frames designed around the ANSI Z87.1 safety standard recognized by OSHA. And we offer different lenses because different types of glasswork require different levels of protection. 🟣 SFP — Sodium Flare Protection Made for soft glass and sodium-flare-intensive sculpting applications. It cuts the bright yellow sodium flare while keeping your work clear and visible. 🔥 SHADE 3 Made for borosilicate work and boro sculpting, with darker filtration and increased infrared protection for hotter, brighter torch work. 🪞 SHADE 3 MIRROR Also made for boro and boro sculpting, with Shade 3 filtration plus the mirrored finish to help reflect additional radiant energy away from your eyes. And no — glassworking protection does not have to be a traditional glass didymium lens. Modern sodium-flare and boro filters can be produced in lightweight, impact-resistant polycarbonate. That was the whole point of this drop: Safety-rated construction. The right filtration for the right work. Lightweight polycarbonate. And glasses you actually want to wear. SFP = Soft Glass / Sodium-Flare Work Shade 3 = Boro + Boro Sculpting Shade 3 Mirror = Boro + Boro Sculpting HEADY DIDY’S The Union Fly × Black Fly’s Built for the torch. Built with safety in mind. #keepingthemsafe with #fashionforyourface by @headydidys
SAMPLES ARE IN. 🪰🔥 @headydidys ❌ @blackflyseyewear These aren’t just fashion glasses with a purple lens thrown in them. Our eyewear is built using impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses and safety frames designed to meet the ANSI Z87.1 eye-protection standard recognized by OSHA. And yes — BOTH the lens and the frame matter. ANSI Z87.1 is the recognized safety standard for occupational eye and face protection. It covers actual performance requirements such as impact resistance, durability, optical quality and proper markings. So this whole idea that a glass didymium lens automatically makes a pair of glasses “safer” is wrong. A lens being made out of glass does not magically make the entire pair safety eyewear. With Heady Didy’s, we wanted both sides of the equation: Specialized sodium-flare filtering + impact-resistant polycarbonate safety eyewear. That means we’re not sacrificing physical eye protection just because we want a specialty filter for glassworking. And for the people screaming “Z87!” — exactly. That’s why we use it. 😎 Know the difference between a filter material and an actual safety standard before telling people what is and isn’t safe. by @headydidys
