✨Alternative & Holistic Wellness — brought directly to the community 🤲🏽💙

Warmer weather means more pop-ups and festivals, and we couldn’t be more excited!

It was such an honor to connect with hundreds of people and share the incredible benefits of acupuncture, breathwork, sound bowl therapy, massage, and more! These accessible modalities are essential to managing stress and reducing chronic inflammation — and we’re here to help make that accessible to everyone via @heal.the.blockla

Much gratitude to @blackwomenvend @leimertparkvillagevendors @cw_heather.hutt @lux.frequency @thesourcela for making the Leimert Park Brunch & Community Fair happen ✨

Wrapped up our second @heal.the.blockla Jan 31st in Leimert Park @solefolks with so much gratitude. 🤍

What started as a commitment to access has become a living reminder that wellness should be accessible, not exclusive.

After nearly a decade of dealing life with MS, I’ve tried just about every healing modality you can imagine. What I learned along the way is that healing is not one-size-fits-all and alternative care isn’t always the most affordable. Heal the Block LA was created to change that. To expose our community to different wellness modalities, to encourage exploration, and to remind people that trial and error is part of finding what brings balance, regulation, and wholeness to the body.

We may be small, but we are mighty. I’m endlessly grateful for my friend and co-founder @therealtranee, for her leadership, and the care she’s poured into my health over the past three years.

Thank you to every practitioner who donated their time, energy, and resources to be of service. Because of you, wellness becomes something we all get to experience.

From our hearts to our city🖤

Why we do what we do.

We believe care is not a luxury, but a right.

We believe compassion is a practice, not a trend.

We believe community care is how we survive hard times.

We move slower, listen deeper, and hold each other with dignity— especially when the world feels heavy.

Healing hits different in community 🌿

Join us at Heal the Block LA @heal.the.blockla for community auricular acupuncture and FREE Traditional Chinese Medicine assessments—a space to pause, exhale, and reset your nervous system alongside your neighbors.

Community acupuncture is powerful because it combines the clinical effectiveness of acupuncture with unique group-healing dynamics, making treatments more affordable and frequent, fostering a sense of shared healing, reducing isolation, and enhancing overall well-being through collective relaxation and energetic support in a peaceful, accessible setting.

Ear acupuncture and acu-pressure gently and painlessly activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to calm anxiety, ease overwhelm, improve sleep, and release stored stress.

When we regulate together, our bodies heal faster. When one nervous system settles, others follow.

This isn’t just a treatment—it’s collective care. Accessible. Grounding. Deeply regulating.

These are the raw herbs for the traditional formula Yu Ping Feng San 🌿

Top: Huang Qi (Astragalus)
Middle: Bai Zhu (White Atractylodes Rhizome)
Bottom: Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia Root)

This ancient formula helps strengthen the immune system and tonify qi — perfect for those who often feel run down, sweat easily, or catch colds frequently. It’s been used for centuries as a natural preventative herbal remedy for sickness, supporting the body’s energy and resilience from within.
