HWH 2022 • SCAD Alumni Atelier 2022 in Lacoste, France: The SCAD Alumni Atelier is an elite artist residency program conceptualized and personally endowed by SCAD President and Founder @paulaswallace ! During the Alumni Pining Ceremony, I remember thinking about our conversation. Mrs. Wallace said to me, “Just continue to tell your story how you see it.” Her words serve as a reminder of the importance for being real and authentic. Everything that has led up to this moment let’s me know I’m sure on the right track. Divinely covered. Who knew a young African American Man who decided to go back to school in his early 20’s to study Visual Storytelling by way of Comic books and story boards at SCAD would teach me about life and how my unique stories would impact communities and cultures. I’m extremely humbled by this. It ignites me to remain thoughtful and responsible with this work. And now, providing mentorship for the next generation of Artists makes my roller coaster of a journey so worth it! Thank you @tiffanitaylorart for inviting me to be apart of this program! Thank you @bopeepthomas for your continued support for the arts and the artists who have become products of this University!

So, Mrs. Paula Wallace, you need anything, just say the word, and I’m there!
