The doctor is in! After 4+ years and of hard work and stress and 100,000 words later, I've officially qualified for the Doctor of Philosophy!

My thesis, 'Big Bananas & Bucket Bongs: The larrikin archetype in contemporary Australian rock' is an examination of the explosion of 'Aussie' pub rock bands from the 2010s, their roots, and the implications for national identity, gender, and whiteness.

I'm so proud of this achievement, and I've appreciated all the support and excitement for this endeavour from friends, family, fellow music fans, and even the bands themselves.

I'll be conferred in February, graduating around April, and very much looking forward to sharing this thesis with anybody interested once access becomes available. In the meantime, the 'official' playlist is in my bio!
