POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hi, I’m Jasleen 🌻

A quiet reintroduction, because this page has grown and so have I.

I’m a trauma-focused psychotherapist and an EFT-certified couples therapist, and Heart.Mind.Body. is the private practice I’ve built in Bangalore around the belief that healing isn’t just a mind thing. It lives in the body. It lives in how we relate. It lives in the small, ordinary moments we learn to come home to ourselves.
I work with individuals and couples across all ages — online (anywhere in the world) and in person (central Bangalore). Together we make sense of patterns, hold old wounds gently, and build lives that actually feel good to live in.

Outside the therapy room, I’m sunflower-obsessed, powered by ginger lemon tea, a forever-traveller, and slowly dreaming up a little smoothie-and-salad bar someday 🥗

If any of this feels like someone you’d want in your corner, my DMs are open, and there’s a free 15-min intro call waiting whenever you’re ready. No pressure, just a conversation. 🤍

“Just tell them they’re wrong.”

If you’ve ever walked into couples therapy hoping for a referee, you’re not alone. When you’re hurt and exhausted, a verdict feels like it would finally settle things.

But it rarely does. One of you walks out vindicated, the other feels ganged up on, and the same fight comes back next week wearing a different topic.

In Emotionally Focused Therapy, we look at the pattern instead. One of you reaches harder, the other pulls away, and underneath, you’re often both scared of the same thing: losing each other.

That’s why I don’t take sides. In couples therapy, my client isn’t one of you. It’s the relationship between you. I’m holding space for both of you, because that’s where repair begins.

(One exception: if there’s abuse or fear in your relationship, safety always comes first.)

Save this for the next time you wish someone would just settle it 🌻

Which reason surprised you most? Tell me in the comments.

Curious whether couples therapy could help the two of you? The 15-minute intro call is free. Link in bio.

“And where do you feel that in your body?”

If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at this question in therapy, even a little, you’re not alone. You came in to talk about the fight, the job, the thing that happened, and suddenly we’re talking about your shoulders.

Here’s why I keep asking.

Your body often knows before your words do. The tight chest before a difficult call. The lump in your throat at one part of a story you’ve told a hundred times. The shoulders that creep up whenever a certain name comes up.

These aren’t distractions from the “real” problem. They’re the real problem, showing up right there in the room. Noticing them helps us see what still hurts, when to slow down, and how to build a sense of safety you can actually feel, not just think your way into.

If the question has ever felt strange, that makes sense. Most of us learned to live from the neck up. Coming back into the body takes practice, and we go at your pace.

Save this for the next time someone asks where you feel it 🌻

Tell me below: where does stress usually show up for you? Jaw, shoulders, stomach, somewhere else?

If you’ve been wondering what therapy with me might feel like, the 15-minute intro call is free. Link in bio.

Today is world suicide prevention day.

and there’s something i’ve learnt from sitting with people in therapy: pain is personal, but it rarely begins only inside one person.

it grows in families where “log kya kahenge” is louder than “are you okay?”. in classrooms where caste quietly decides who belongs. in marriages that feel like there’s no way out. in work that doesn’t pay enough to live. in homes where being queer has to stay hidden.

this year’s global theme, changing the narrative on suicide, asks us to move from silence to conversation. so this carousel widens the lens: gender, caste, community, money and policy, along with the words we use and what we can actually say to someone who’s struggling.

a few things i hope you carry with you:
→ asking someone directly if they’re thinking about suicide doesn’t put the idea in their head. it often brings relief.
→ “died by suicide”, not “committed”.
→ prevention isn’t only therapy. it’s belonging, dignity, fairer systems, and someone who notices.

if you’re struggling right now, please reach out:
Tele-MANAS · 14416 (free, 24x7)
Vandrevala Foundation · +91 9999 666 555 (call or WhatsApp, 24x7)
iCALL · +91 91529 87821 (mon–sat)
in immediate danger · 112

and if you’ve lost someone to suicide: it was not your failing. your grief deserves care too.

tonight at 8pm, IASP invites us to light a candle near a window for those we’ve lost, those who survived, and those still finding their way. join in if you can.

save this for the day someone needs it. share it with one person.

what would make it easier to talk about suicide in your family or community? tell me below. i read every one.

when we think of suicide prevention, we picture crisis lines and emergency rooms. those matter deeply. but so much of it happens quietly, long before anything becomes a crisis.

a genuine compliment. a check-in text. telling someone “i’m really glad you’re here.”

you don’t need to be a therapist to be part of this. you just need to notice, and reach out.

more on this in tonight’s post.

who’s one person you’ll check in on today?

if you’re struggling right now, you don’t have to carry it alone. tele-manas is free, confidential and available 24/7: call 14416.

Regulation isn’t feeling calm. It’s being able to come back.

Somewhere along the way, “regulated” started to mean unbothered. Never angry, never anxious, gliding through everything with a soft voice.

That’s not it. Being regulated doesn’t mean you stop getting upset. It means when something does upset you, you can find your way back — in an hour instead of three days.

The goal was never to stop feeling things. It’s to trust that you can settle again afterwards.

If you’ve been waiting to feel calm all the time before you call yourself healed, you’ve been holding yourself to something no one actually reaches. 💬

“Just tell me what to do.”

I hear it often, and I understand it. But I go home to my life afterwards. You go home to yours. My advice costs me nothing and could cost you a marriage, a job, ten years.

Here’s the thing though — the decision usually isn’t the hard part. Underneath it there’s a feeling you haven’t had room for: guilt, fear, grief, anger. That’s what we work through together. Once it’s actually been felt, the choice tends to stop feeling impossible.

You don’t need someone to decide for you. You needed the thing in the way to be dealt with first.

Save this for the next time you wish someone would just tell you. 🌻

Rest doesn’t work when your body is still waiting for something to go wrong.

You take the break. You do the breathing. You go to bed early. And you still lie there wide awake, tired but wired.

That’s not you being bad at resting. Your body only lets go when it feels safe — and if some part of you is still on guard, it won’t. That’s why people come back from a holiday more tired than when they left.

Rest isn’t something you can force. It’s something your body allows once it stops holding on.

Send this to someone who’s resting and still exhausted. 🌻

Rich in life because my job is part of someone’s self care.

Some days that looks like a first session that took months of courage to book. Some days it’s a couple slowly finding their way back to each other.

I get to hold space for that. That’s the wealth.
