Stack Day for #HalloweenHabitats26 . From frenemy witches to poisoned potions tricking the candy seekers, ultimately leading to their demise, it's been an eventful Halloween in minfig land! Gitta wonder where the mad scientist got that potion πŸ€” Anything to say there witches?? . @lego #Halloween #LegoHabitats by @heartofalegomaster
Visit your local libraries. Go to the cinema. Explore a museum. Touch grass, sand, water. Create something with your hands. Use, own, and protect tangible media. Play a board game. Build with LEGO or wooden blocks. Collect something you enjoy... just because you like it. Why? Because it matters. It matters SO much more than you might realize. by @heartofalegomaster
Making one of the HAPPIEST posts ever!!! . Yesterday... I brought home... (drumroll please)... The Piece de Resistance!!! Thank you @bricksandminifigsontario and ESPECIALLY owner Rafael for making a dream come true!!! . A little background... . @lego kicked off their architecture series in 2008. Fallingwater, released in 2009, is the final release of the original six. I remember the day I saw it. I was strolling through the Target toy section with my kiddos, pretty much "window shopping", when I spotted this new kind of set. I'd never seen anything like it! (Umm... Duh! Cause it was a brand new thing! Lol But I didn't realize that). . I couldn't believe it! There on the shelf, was one of those "fancy LEGO display sets" ...of one of my favorite buildings in the world... designed by my favorite architect, Frank Lloyd Wright ❀️ . Then, of course, I saw the price. A hundred bucks by today's standards and my current life situation doesn't sound so bad... but as a young single mom of two... There was NO way I felt I could justify the purchase for myself... IF I ventured to sacrifice the money... Especially to buy myself a TOY! My KIDS needed toys. I would just have to wait. . I never had a "fancy" LEGO set growing up. I had one Basic set: 577. It had apparently come out before I was even born! Lol And a single McDonald's Happy Meal set. I appreciated what I had and built and rebuilt basic houses and cars til the cows came home! But I never imagined owning the fancy stuff... . So, you see how special that makes them... . It's one of the few regrets in life for NOT spending the money. It was the right thing, but I also looked back wishing I hadn't missed out. I decided that one day I would find one and buy it... having NO idea how hard that might be! . This was the third time finding one, and this time, the stars aligned. I waited a LONG time for you. Welcome home πŸ₯Ή . #Lego #Architecture #Fallingwater #FrankLloydWright #Grateful by @heartofalegomaster
Happy Halloween from TIELUG! πŸ‘» πŸ’€ πŸŽƒ Here are a couple spoOoOoky builds from some of our LUG members. Have a fun and safe Halloween night! #tielugbrix #spooky #afolcommunity #lego #halloween2026 by @heartofalegomaster
Day 3 for #HalloweenHabitats26 . Today's final habitat features The Bump in the Night sub-challenge. (I had to swap days 2 or 3 to tell my story). . Today we learn the fate of trick-or-treaters who visit Professor Dragon Scale! This Lego friend found out the hard way that consuming the potion sends you to the other side! A side where skeletons rule and endlessly chase you through the depths! . @lego #Halloween #BumpInTheNight by @heartofalegomaster
Day 2 for #HalloweenHabitats26 . Today's habitat reflects the Trick or Treat theme sub-challenge. Our little Lego friend is hitting the street dressed as an adorable red devil. Despite a warning from mom and dad, he stopped at Professor Dragon Scale's house anyway... My gut tells me that potion contains something other than candy... . @lego #Halloween #TrickOrTreat by @heartofalegomaster
How perfect is this...? The October build challenge for @tielugbrix was Halloween Habitats!!! That created guaranteed participation in #HalloweenHabitats26 for this girl!!! . I'm excited to join in the fun again for the first time in a long time. My first day presents a question: Which Witch Are You? Fulfilling the Halloween Colors extra challenge, we find two witches... Who aren'tquite friends yet πŸ€” One is after Galinda's heart, the other is much more of an Elpheba! Will a pink sparkled wand win out and bring a giant bubble? Or will the Grimery conjured brew blast them both out of the dungeon?! . @lego #Halloween #Witches by @heartofalegomaster
Sometimes, a set is so much fun, you just gotta snap a pic and make a post right away! I was lucky and had JUST enough fading light to get the shot! . Lego Friends Horse & Baby Foal Trailer, #42695 . These days, I'm being rather selective due to space limitations. I can't really display much, and storage is at a premium, but these animals were too cute to pass up! Hopper the Frog did me in, and with THREE minidolls to keep all four animals company?! How could I resist?! "Where are the horses?", you ask. Chillaxing in their trailer, of course. The opposite side has a cute window with a flower box. Henry even comes with THREE display / play options! Plus... there are more picnic snacks hiding in the trunk! . I enjoyed the car building technique with this set, and these tires are especially smooth ❀️ All in all, it's a 10 outta 10 for me!! . ***************************** . Why haven't I been posting much?? A big part has been a focus on living life. ... and I got out of the habit with the move, and with most of my Lego being out of reach as a by product of said move... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ . But I wanted to comment on the other thing. It's that white-colored AI elephant in the room! It's really turned me off of social media because it's everywhere! ...and I REALLY don't like my work being used to create AI slop. Just being honest here... . Okay, off my soapbox and back to having fun. Maybe I'll start posting a bit more... We'll see how it goes as I get back into my hobby... . #LegoFriends #AFOL #ToyPhotography by @heartofalegomaster
Went to my first AFOL Night yesterday at @bricksandminifigsontario . A combo pic of mine and Isaac's MOC's. He brought this custom Bionicle and a Bionicle built bug he made for an animal challenge a while back. I brought my San Marcos butterfly... created from an attempt at a 35 piece challenge... it took way more lol . This pic is the only one I took... which means I was busy enjoying the experience! Lol But I do wish I'd taken a couple more for the scrapbook... . I loved meeting and chatting with other AFOL's and look forward to more events ❀️ . Thank you Shauna and Rafael for hosting this fun event!! by @heartofalegomaster
First post in a loooooooong while! I have spent the past several months working on a major life change. I had to keep mum, waiting to see exactly when / how it would all work out. . I am a week into the good life, and although there have been snags (life gonna keep lifing, apparently 😝) I wouldn't trade my new home for anything! . Today I enjoyed some DELICIOUS Greek food from @lunagrill We ate outside on the patio, enjoying the ocean air and a little people watching. A perfect "linner" before seeing #ProjectHailMary . I highly recommend BOTH! . #AFOL #SoCal #Carlsbad #GoldenCoast by @heartofalegomaster
