They say "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" and if that's true, after surviving 2020 I'll be double immortal. I feel like this year is constantly threatening me with things I'm scared of. I've never experienced so many bad events in such a short period of time. This year for me has started with my cat's cancer illness, one terrible job experience after another and then coronavirus started to spread.. and my yoga studio had to close.
.
When I've discovered yoga classes it helped me to find a balance in life. Even when things were running fast, there was a deadline after deadline, I had this precious time only for myself, to calm my mind and slow down. To stay healthy inside and outside. As I've started to work again on balance in yoga, I hope this will have the reflection in managing balance in real life, too.

This year couldn't be more unpredictable. I thought that maybe the end of the year will remind me a little bit about the normality and I was looking forward to celebrate Halloween. Instead there's a revolutionary women's stike across the country. I am afraid to make any plans for Christmas and New Year's Eve. World gone mad.

The only stable thing here are plants. They have better and worse days but so far they're my balance. Couldn't imagine this year without them. At least this attic gave me the little spooky vibe I was waiting for.

We've entered the spooky season!! Isn't this the best part of the year?! 🍁🍂🖤

I won't stop saying this - I just LOVE autumn. It's all about the ambient. Candles, lanterns, painted pumpkins, hot chocolate, sitting under the blanket. Autumn is magical and dreamy, it's a time of the year when everything turns into a fairytale story.
.
Plants let you to get some rest during autumn. My place gained a lot of new green babies during this year and it was a hard work in summer to water them all on time. And now? I can fully enjoy them with less effort and be calm they don't need me when I'm busy. Like a mother nature on holidays.

I feel recently especially attached to this particular Anthurium. Not only because its striking beautiful pattern, but the feeling it gives me. The heart-shaped leaves remind us that love and beauty come in all forms. 🖤

It's time to post last frames from the attic bedroom, because soon we're moving to Vienna, Austria - and yes I say "we" because I'm taking all the plants with me - not going to leave even most struggling plants, because they will have better conditions and more space, so I hope who's struggling now, will bounce back soon.

This also applies to me, I've had a lot of moments here, days or even months of feeling down - just as I'm anxious about moving to another country, I feel at the same time overexcited to start a new better chapter soon. ✨

First of all.. Thank you so much for the warm words of support due to my mom's illness. The feedback was truly amazing and touching. As I was replying, she's a strong woman and will overcome any struggle in life and I'm now fully here to support her.

My plant collection has always been dominated by a certain species. Those who have been following me for a while know that I was obsessed with calatheas. Yeah, I was. I still love them, but I won't allow them to dominate my jungle because I don't want to be depressed once again after losing them. 😅 This year, it's all about alocasias. Variegated and not variegated - they are my current biggest planty obsession after I purchased this wonderfully variegated Alocasia Frydek from @roys_rare_plants 😊🖤 Right after shipping the almost half-moon leaf on the left unfurled and... Heartplanted is now Heart-alo-planted. It's all her fault. Can't blame her for that though 🖤

It was such a long break, I can't believe half of the year has passed since the last post. This break was supposed to help me overcome struggles when my health problem has started, but the effect was quite the opposite - I cut myself from one of the most wonderful, kind people that were brighting my days, connections that lasted for years and my mental health collapsed.
.
It's like Instagram is a "too good to be true" place, and many people here (including myself) don't show life as it is, but we try to show our lives in a better light, leaving out what doesn't fit the aesthetic behind the frame. But at the same time when the mind is focused at searching beautiful things to show it helps to see your everyday surroundings from a different perspective and notice how many beautiful things you have around you, that you can share with others. It's such a lovely exchange of good energy in here - to appreciate others and share your little world - that is beautiful.

🌿 In the picture are my one of the most beloved dark queens: Alocasia Black Velvet, Alocasia Wentii and Alocasia Regal Shield. My love with Alocasias wasn't really that easy - I still often find it hard to adapt them to my environment when they are baby size (the only exception is when I grow them from bulbs). That's why I have started to buy them fully mature - it's just so much easier to establish them. One more thing is that Wentii, Regal Shields, Calidora - most of the big Alocasias are much easier to care than the smaller varieties like Dragon Scale or Silver Dragon. Or the Black Velvet (that is at the bottom of the picture and I hope that she won't start to dramatise 😅).

This Philodendron Xanadu was on my wishlist since I saw it on @leafy_jungle stories (she will make me go broke soon with all her plants). It's so incredibly lush and full that I had a problem to find a place for it at first. (So typical to buy a plant and worry about lack of space later, huh? 😂) But it took a honorable spot next to the bedroom mirror and I hope he'll be as happy with me as I am with him. 🖤

My happiest place on earth 🖤 How do you feel now during the fall season? There is something about autumn I truly love. Just as I feel a strange restlessness during the summer, which may be related with some traumas that happened that time in the past, when autumn comes I get very calm and peaceful. I thought it's a good opportunity to take care of myself a little bit more and I've got back into the habit of reading before sleep. These last minutes at the end of the day, without phone, with the lights dimmed and in close surrounding of plants at all sides work wonders. 🖤

Happy Caturday! 🐱 It took me literally ages to capture these two little angels chilling with the plants. They were very unhappy and not working with me when I was asking them for posing. 😹 But since my bed is surrounded by plants again I have to fight with them for a piece of place to sleep (there is a cat's bed next to my bed!). I guess from now on, they'll be appearing on my feed more often than only on stories. My heart melts as I see that the greenest spot at home has become their favorite place to take a nap 🐈🖤

Note to my future husband: we don't have to sleep that close to plants, there will be a (little) compromise in this madness, I promise 😉

I still can't believe that exactly a week ago I was chilling on the @andreas.goma beautiful tropical terrace 🌻I am a huge fan of this space since 2 years and I had no idea I could be there in real! It was an amazing experience 🖤 And it's even better in real!! I am still amazed and SO inspired that I want to turn my space upside down and redecorate every corner 😂🖤
.
I have a very, very little pictures when I'm genuinely happy. Posing to pictures really stress me out (believe me or not, Andreas and Phil saw this in real 😄). Here I was so happy I literally forgot for a while there is a camera and we were posing and the emotions are so pure and honest! I wish to collect many of these purely joyful pictures in the future ☺️

This place and the whole trip was like a great reminder what I value in plants. I've got myself a little bit hyped about rare plants this year which is not really my thing, it doesn't suits me. What I've always wanted and still want to do is to create beautiful green indoor landscape, that will give me a feeling of being surrounded by plants from all sides. In this case it doesn't really matter how rare they are, but how many joy their foliage brings 🖤
.
My favourite, most joyful plants recently are Epipremnum Marble Queen and Schefflera because they grow so fast, cause no stress with their care, and their presence bring so many green color in my room 🖤 I'm just on my way to buy more of them. ☺️
