We are deeply grateful to share that half of the funds raised through Hearts Without Borders have now been officially distributed to families in Manila affected by the recent typhoon, through Ms. Lara’s initiative as HWB’s event partner. Please see attached documentation as evidence. $500.00 AUD from ticket sales and $250.00 AUD from the raffle, combined with additional personal contributions from Lara, resulted in a total of $778.21 AUD (₱30,000 pesos). This amount was divided equally among four families who lost so much during the devastating floods, with each family receiving ₱7,500 to support their immediate recovery and rebuilding. Photos and videos from the distribution will be shared soon. It was an incredibly emotional and beautiful day, and we cannot wait for you to see the smiles, strength and hope that you helped make possible. Thank you Ms. Lara for your stellar efforts. What a way to celebrate Christmas Eve. I, Professor Resh Ramasamy, brainchild of Hearts Without Borders (HWB) am pleased to share an update regarding the allocation of funds raised through our recent charity initiative. From the total funds raised, AUD $500 was designated to support children undergoing cancer treatment in Pakistan. The children expressed a clear preference for receiving tote bags that they could use to carry their medications, toys and personal belongings. Honouring their wishes was central to this initiative. With the generous support and commitment of Professor Munir Moosa, brainchild of the Global Forum for Teacher Educators with whom I and HWB are affiliated, the tote bags are now being organised. Professor Moosa will collect the bags from the supplier and oversee their distribution to the children in the coming days/weeks. He will also send me photos for my reference which I will share on here. The total expenditure is AUD $466.50 and I have attached the receipt and screenshots, confirming the transfer and purchase. The remaining amount of AUD 33.50 including a contribution from my own funds, was donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The tote bags will feature the HWB logo, a child-friendly cartoon character and a small personalised message from me. I have also attached examples of completed bags for your reference. A total of 200 bags will be prepared, catering to 200 children. Thank you for your continued trust, support and shared commitment to compassionate, child-centred humanitarian work. With respect and gratitude, Professor Resh Ramasamy Brainchild, Hearts Without Borders Affiliated with Global Forum for Teacher Educators ❤️❤️❤️ by @hearts.without.borders.au

I couldn’t have asked for a better New Year’s gift. What a powerful way to begin the year with SERVICE at its heart. Through the generosity of Professor Munir, the brainchild behind GFTE (and my lifetime mentor and brother) with which Hearts Without Borders (HWB) is proudly affiliated, the first batch of bags was distributed with the support of a social worker and a psychologist in the cancer palliative care children ward. These children are bravely battling cancer and come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. For them, these bags meant the world. Their joy and excitement were deeply moving. Consent was obtained to share the images. More stories to come. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, donated and supported HWB. Your generosity is making a real difference. Sharing a quick update. I am pleased to share progress on the 200 tote bags being prepared for children combating cancer in Pakistan. This update features short videos of communication between Prof. Resh and Ahsan the supplier along with a preview of the sample bags now ready for printing. I am super grateful for the collaboration and care going into every step of this process. I look forward to sharing the final outcome very soon. The children will be thrilled. Lara and I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We know that during times like this, not everyone has family or loved ones to spend the season with. If you’re able to, please take a moment to reach out, check in, or do something kind to help someone feel seen and less alone. Even the smallest gesture can make a meaningful difference. May compassion and humanity guide us all, Prof. Resh Ramasamy & Ms. Lara Yayong 🎄🎄🎄 by @hearts.without.borders.au

Our event last night was an absolute success. We are still riding the high and taking time to process such a beautiful and meaningful evening. However, we wanted to pause and extend our heartfelt thanks. First, our deepest gratitude to everyone who so generously gave their time, talent and support in bringing this event to life. Our models, designers, cinematographer, photographers, guest speaker, performers, food sponsors and raffle prize contributor. Your collective efforts were truly extraordinary. Second, to our guests whose presence and warmth filled the room. Thank you for showing up with such openness and believing in us. And to our wonderful helpers and volunteers, your behind-the-scenes support did not go unnoticed and was invaluable. Third, we extend our sincere appreciation to Brisbane City Council @brisbanecitycouncil with a special thank you to Katy from New Farm Library for graciously providing such a beautiful and welcoming space. It was the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening. We are delighted to share that we met our $1,000 fundraising target. We will be sharing official photographs and further updates in the coming days. With gratitude and respect,
Prof. Resh Ramasamy & Ms. Lara Yayong 💕💕💕 by @hearts.without.borders.au
