I couldn’t have asked for a better New Year’s gift.
What a powerful way to begin the year with SERVICE at its heart.
Through the generosity of Professor Munir, the brainchild behind GFTE (and my lifetime mentor and brother) with which Hearts Without Borders (HWB) is proudly affiliated, the first batch of bags was distributed with the support of a social worker and a psychologist in the cancer palliative care children ward.
These children are bravely battling cancer and come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. For them, these bags meant the world. Their joy and excitement were deeply moving. Consent was obtained to share the images.
