every little beachside nook had something uniquely spectacular to find ~ oyster shell sculptures & the biggest mussels I have ever seen… Mother Nature putting on a show at every twist & turn of those beautiful coastal roads.

there is something incredibly visceral about the Earth, Sky & Sea here. just tantalising the senses to look a little closer, stop and listen a little longer… all sorts of treasures to uncover

the most wonderful crunchy textures — moody one moment & fairytale the next. how can one place be so many things at once? I’m very much in love.

so many seasons felt in the last few months.

moments at home have been bittersweet, our home, a place to hold the love. A place to hold the ache of love, that can find no place…

missing our Louie girl, but truly, really — feeling deeply that the soul is transcendent, needs no body to hold it ~

can be felt in those moments of quiet, when suddenly, a soft breeze blows & the trees begin whispering… or the sun hits her favourite place to sit & still ~ all goes on living, we go on giving, creating, loving & finding meaning in the ache… by @heartsriverflow

high up with views in every direction — mountains, ocean & headlands meet… hidden pools for seaweed scrying & mermaid swims 🧚🏼

a place to let the mind wander, more so ~ just to be still… nothing needed or requested, & still — I’ll give all my attention here 🐚🤍

soft going now, the flowers whisper ~
gentle steps between clover fields, where frogs dance to tunes of crickets, who are dressed in dusks finery…

softly still ~
chamomile prayers pressed against my lips,
and poppy songs sing to enchant my skipping heart
senses bewitched by sweet pea and lavender faeries ~
I have no where to be, so softly I go…

a slow morning is like a balm for the soul ~ softness that oozes internally, a deep breath, and suddenly my mind is at ease.

some time to notice, and observe the small worlds, something that becomes challenging when you’re rushing about…

our linen sheets, finally drying, slowly moving, gently alive in the sun. shadows on the wall, new growth on the Olive tree, mint in Lila’s garden wet, with morning dew — and birds singing, drinking nectar from autumn blooms.

{the art of observing} now I am floating about ~ more mote of dust caught in sunlight, than woman ~ more fallen petal, or perhaps, one of those shadows on the wall 🦋

one of my favourite things recently on my slow mornings, is making a breakfast I’d imagine a Grecian goddess (or maybe a bear) would eat 🌿

On Wednesday, we said goodbye to Lila after 13 long, good years.

She’s left a space in our hearts, the size of a big sweet, loving cat — she will be missed dearly, and her lessons on life will not be forgotten. She will be forever in the garden, forever in the sun and forever in our hearts.

This is the gift a very good cat, leaves two people 🤍🕊️ by @heartsriverflow

peering through an autumnal lens,
what is beneath, what is remembered,

autumn! oh liminal season that beckons my heart!

the air is blanketed in nostalgia
on the wind a call to remember ~

(poetry & aimless wandering,
seashells in the foams of dusk,
willows that whisper from the west &
a call from the river, crisp & shrouded in early morning fogs)

& I don’t want to be busy!
only, I want my day to be spent licking the sweet dew of autumn and to dance with the spirits of in-between…. by @heartsriverflow
