I'm interested in nature and taking pictures of what I see. Complete amateur, no fancy kit and most of the time no filters!

The solar eclipse as it progressed.

And a pretty pattern on the shed from the sunlight coming through the leaves of the tree.

A mooch around @ntcalkeabbey with the macro lens. Good to see some signs of spring at last.

Popped up to Stoneywell this afternoon for a mooch under beautiful blue skies. Had to grab a few shots with the macro too and of a lonely daffodil.

A colourful visitor to the garden this morning, right in the middle of #BigGardenBirdwatch - the best birds usually wait until after the hour is over! Always good to see a great spotted woodpecker.

A beautiful Saturday morning setting up at @watermeadparkrun this week. A very cold start, but feeling warmer in the sunshine. King Lear's Lake looking stunning in the early light.

Playing with the phone's macro lens and the additional clip on lens, taking photos in the garden. The ice crystals are stunning after days of cold without thaw.

Such a hard frost last night and so still this morning, so it had to be done. ❄️❄️❄️ I do love an ice crystal or two!

Using the clip on macro on the main camera lens as well as the built-in macro lens.

I'm a bit out of practice with the macro lens but thought it was about time I popped out into the garden for a couple of pics before the snow melts completely.

I do like water droplets 💦
