My students picked their rides, added their own style, and lined up in the staging lanes at Math Motorsports Park! 🏁🎨

Just bringing a little of my weekend world into my weekday world…and hoping to inspire a few future drag racers along the way! 🖤

Will brake for elephant ears. 😂🖤 A little fall cruising in Back in Black turned into a roadside treat stop...and a photo op, of course! 🍂🏁

Dad’s ’69 Camaro: wreck & rebuild. 🏁

In 1994, a car accident left this Camaro looking a whole lot different than it does today. These photos tell the story of bringing it back—from the damage, through the rebuild, to the finished car.

There are even a few pictures of me working on it with Dad. Looking back, those are my favorites. 🖤

My brother races it now for @scottbrosracing and seeing it on the track means so much when you know the history behind it.

Apparently my glasses needed a racing upgrade, too! 😂🏁 Little cars and checkers-pretty sure these toppers were made for this math teacher and drag racer. 🖤

For everyone who loved the video of me driving with my dad-here’s a closer look at his ’69 Camaro, “Thunderstruck.” 🖤

My brother, Rick Scott III races it now for Scott Bros Racing, keeping Dad’s legacy alive, one pass at a time. More than a car…a piece of our family. 🏁

Pieces of my dad’s ’69 Camaro now have a home in Mrs. Lyons’ Math Garage. 🏁 Each part holds a story, and having them in my classroom makes me feel like a little piece of him is there with me every day.

Six years without you, Dad. Your memory lives on-in our family, at the track, and now in my classroom. 🖤

Six years today since we lost my dad. 🖤

Me behind the wheel of his ’69 Camaro, with him riding shotgun. What I wouldn’t give to do this one more time.

So thankful to have this memory captured. Miss you, Dad. I’m carrying a little piece of you every time I pull into the staging lanes. 🏁

A pretty cool mailbox find! 🏁 My brother Rustin and I are both listed in National Dragster as Sportsman quarterfinalists at the NHRA Division 3 Bracket Finals! Seeing our names together in print makes it extra special. 🖤

A few favorite spots in Mrs. Lyons’ Math Garage! 🏁 From parts off my brother's ’65 Chevelle to treasures from friends and fellow racers, this room is full of stories. I love bringing my racing world into my math classroom!

The sun was so blinding that the starter literally had to guide me into the beams because I couldn’t see. Once I was staged, I had to hold a hand up to block the sun as best I could just to see the tree.
