Hi Friends! It’s official… I’M LAUNCHING A PODCAST! 🎙️🔥

Yes, you heard that right! This project has been brewing for a year, but mid-year, I made the executive call to pivot, pause, and completely rearchitect my entire business.

If you’re into astrology, you know Year of the Fire Horse is about relentless momentum and seizing your moment. As an Aries, I finally grabbed my doubts by the throat and said: “FUCK IT, LET’S GO!” No more holding back. It’s now or never.

I spent the year doing the deep internal work. As a business major, I know the playbook but I had to burn my perfectionism to the ground. I stripped my entire operation down and asked the hard questions: Who am I? How do I regain control? How do I disrupt a male-dominated industry on MY terms?

That pause unlocked my full power. I came to the realization that I am ME. In a man’s world, I am still a badass who fucking got this. I’ve worked damn hard in my career, and I have NOTHING left to prove.

So I decided to say a massive “F* You! to the negative stuff.

I’m building the exact podcast I desperately needed when I was sitting in the dark, left to figure it all out on my own. NO GATEKEEPING. NO HIDDEN PLAYBOOKS. I’m sharing all the industry secrets. Who says podcast art can’t be cute and girly in real estate? This is my world, and I’m changing the entire dynamic.

I asked myself how to build real credibility and trust in my field, and the answer was simple: school everyone on what I fucking know.

Tune into Episode 0 to get the real story behind my journey, the side of me I’ve never talked about, and a look into what I actually do.

7 powerful things I learned in life as an entrepreneur, business owner, and person in general.

I’m a huge proponent of mental health and healing old wounds. A healed version of you is a powerful, unstoppable one. Not one you’ll ever regret becoming.

You learn to value yourself. To quiet the outside noise. To protect your sacred space and limit who gets a say in your life. Build what matters. Build what came from the heart.

With growth comes change. Not everyone in your circle will cheer you on, and not everyone will make it to the next chapter with you. That’s okay. It just means it’s time to surround yourself with people who crave success the way you do. #womeninspiringwomen #women #entrepreneurship #business #leadership by @heather_duarte_

When you choose authenticity, everything shifts. Your relationships and opportunities become more aligned and more intentional, instead of forced. You lead with more confidence, because you’re finally leading as yourself.

This Founder Series isn’t here to teach you lessons. It’s here to show you there’s more to running a business than just making money. Deep down, there’s a more powerful version of you that you haven’t tapped into yet. Imagine how strong that version actually is.

Think of me as the big sister on her own healing journey, sharing the hurdles so you can put things into perspective and skip a few of them yourself.

Stripping away the pressure of external approval and anchoring back into self-compassion, self-reliance, and personal capacity is where true power actually lives.

As a founder, it is so easy to look around at others in your industry and hit that quiet wall: “Why am I not there yet?”

But when you measure yourself against someone else’s highlight reel, you lose sight of your own reality and capacity. You dim your own light using energy that could have gone toward building the exact version of yourself that wants this dream.

It takes a deliberate mindset shift. Instead of viewing challenges as obstacles holding you back, look at them as real-time work: What is in my power right now to get the ball rolling?

We’ve all been caught up wanting validation or engagement on social media. But social media is just an outlet. It is not your end-all, be-all, and it sure as hell doesn’t define your capacity. Stop waiting for external acceptance to validate your work.

The truth? Silent lurkers are still watching. The lack of likes or comments isn’t about you, it’s about them. Most people scrolling past without engaging are fighting their own internal comparison monster. That’s projection, not your reality.

And let’s be real for a second, a lot of people curate a flawless life online while their real-world reality is a total mess. Never trade your authenticity for someone else’s performance.

Give yourself grace. We all have moments where we doubt the timeline, but remember “you are the capacity.”

Success starts in the quiet, tangible shifts you make every day. You don’t need anyone’s permission or applause to begin. 🤍 by @heather_duarte_

Burnout doesn’t happen overnight, it creeps up on you. Three years ago I was disconnected from my body and mind completely, working 9-8 on some days, no boundaries, pushing through until it cost me everything. Anxiety, panic attacks, cortisol through the roof, crying, miserable. I put myself last every single time, and that’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way.

I left that job. Today, as a business owner, I’ve chosen to shift the dynamic. Burnout led me to a crisis once, and building a business is no different if you let it. So these are my non-negotiables: plan your day instead of reacting to it, rest without guilt, know when to say no, work on your mental health so you lead from calm instead of reaction, watch what you put into your body, and move it daily. The body, the mind, and the business aren’t separate things. They rise together, or they fall together.

What’s one non-negotiable you’re setting for yourself this year?

Heather has been going through a transformation, and this shoot was about capturing who she has become.

We created these images as part of the Rituals to Results series with @fullyexpressedwomen and I loved getting to photograph this version of her.

Because sometimes you’ve changed long before your photos do.

And there’s something pretty powerful about finally having images that feel like the woman you are right! by @heather_duarte_

I love watching other creators share the real behind the scenes reality of getting things done, so here is a quick look into a day working on my podcast.

When the days feel short, taking notes and staying organized is a total non-negotiable for me.

Sharing this journey is going to be so much fun, and it has shown me a whole new way to market my business. Business does not have to be boring. When was the last time you actually had fun with what you do? Take time to play a little, explore, create, and enjoy the process.

Two years ago, I launched my business by jumping straight into the deep end. I took on every project that came my way without a master plan.

While that approach worked well to get things off the ground, momentum without structure can only take a company so far.

Earlier this year, I completed a full internal audit of my business. I realized that trying to be everywhere and do everything was holding me back from real growth. Being realistic about long-term success meant making a deliberate choice to pause, step back, and restructure our operations.

Taking a step back gives you a clear perspective that is hard to get when you are caught up in the daily noise. This shift is no vacation by any means. It is about building a proper operational foundation, doubling down on core strengths, and realigning with the work that delivers real, high-impact value.

Growth is not just about doing more work. It is about doing what works with intention and clarity.

What is a pivot you have had to make in your own business recently? Drop your thoughts below.

Today, I decided to work away from my home office. I love nature so decided to find a cute coffee shop where I could relax and think. This place was so perfect, it had a trail so right after working a bit I went for a walk. WFH can be boring and finding a place like this is so magical and fun. If you’d ever like to come with me here to cowork, hang out, or talk let me know. Anyways working with someone else is always more fun. by @heather_duarte_

Let your true self shine, embrace who you are without hesitation. When you start putting yourself first, you gain more power over what actually belongs in your life. Your time becomes sacred, and you protect it. You lead with authority and authenticity because the outside noise stops mattering.
Building the full foundation, body, mindset, business, starts with you. Therapy. Shadow work. Inner child healing. Mental health. Movement. Breath work. It all leads to a better version of you. Never be afraid to be you. That’s what makes you unique. Thanks for this beautiful shot @iamkarennasoto #womeninspiringwomen #mentalhealth #wellness #entrepreneurship by @heather_duarte_

Recording myself has been one of the most cringiest things I’ve ever done, but I’m hopeful that with practice, it’ll get better. As a business owner, I never saw content creation as my thing, but I actually love it. I’m slowly getting there, and as new projects come, I see this becoming another way to improve and perfect my craft. You don’t have to be perfect to tell a story. You just have to show up. If you’re new to content creation, let’s do this together, because we all start somewhere. Here’s to my future self looking back and saying, I freakin’ did it. #womeninspiringwomen by @heather_duarte_

Find your people. The ones who will support you through every transition. 🤍

To those who don’t know me: Hi, I’m Heather. I’m the founder and CEO of a real estate company.

Yes, my feed has been all fitness, but I want to start sharing more than my fitness journey. I want to show you how I’m building a business.

As a first-generation Latina, daughter of two refugee parents who left El Salvador during the civil war in the 1980s, I’ve always felt the need to push through adversity. To work my ass off. To be better, stronger, physically and mentally.

I’ve shown up for myself. I’ve started to heal. I’ve built a business I’m proud of, and I want to keep sharing that journey with you.

Because building a business isn’t easy. There will be moments of doubt, of questioning yourself and your capabilities. That’s part of the process, and I’d love for you to be part of it with me. #businessminded #fitnessmotivation #womeninspiringwomen #womeninbusiness by @heather_duarte_
