Lotsa trips in 2025 but Peru was def the best. Gracias to @copalatamcervezas for inviting me to judge their excellent beer competition. I’ll always remember the warmth of everyone I met, nuevos amigos, muchas bebidas alcohólicas, the mountains, and with some hesitation, the cuy. 🇵🇪 taken in Perú by @heatherflocc_lear

Hoy nos honra presentar a Heather McReynolds 🇺🇸, jueza internacional de la Copa Latinoamericana de Cervezas Artesanales 2025. 🍻✨

Con más de 15 años de experiencia en la industria cervecera, Heather ha recorrido un camino diverso y apasionante: desde sus inicios administrando un bar especializado en más de 400 cervezas en Florida, hasta su trabajo en cervecerías de Georgia y Nueva York, donde fue parte del equipo de Sixpoint Brewery en Brooklyn.

Durante cinco años trabajó con Guinness, enfocándose en la educación cervecera y el marketing digital, y actualmente representa a Hopsteiner en la región noreste de Estados Unidos, uno de los comerciantes de lúpulo más reconocidos del mundo desde 1845.

‘24 was a pretty, pretty, pretty good year.

Outside of work travel in the northeast and family visits to FL, I managed to take a solid CO-UT-AZ-NV road trip, got down to St Croix and out to the Oregon coast. My parents moved to the beach, which is great for me. Work continues to be excellent, especially because it gives me time to share and brew beers with the people I care about. ❤️

2025? I’m hesitant and a little nervous. But at least I’ve got my people. taken in 2024 by @heatherflocc_lear

🗣 Life update: I’m the new Northeast Craft Sales rep for @Hopsteiner. I’m jazzed to learn about another side of the beer industry and be involved in brewing again, even if it’s from a different angle this time. Hop porn is from the last time I was hanging with Hopsteiner, in Yakima, 2019.

Listen, there’s a lot of things that are out of your control right now. Shit sucks. But you know what’s still in your control? The spread of the flu. SO GO GET YOUR GODDAMN FLU SHOT. Then you too can coolly pose all Rosie the Riveter-style. 💪

Friday night I was blown away by my lovely friends @mylifeoncraft and @chriscuzme who surprised me with a case of @fifthhammerbeer and a beautiful handmade mask. I only got to wave at Cuzme and see Mary for a sec or two but it was enough. I sobbed. It was a sweet gesture but it’s also been a rough few weeks and I just wanted to hug my friends.

As I took a swig of the Czech pils I’d been drinking and felt sorry for myself, I actually looked at the empty can and it dawned on me. Strangely, I drank and loved this @wildeastbrewing beer all week without thinking about the name—I was just excited for the style—and now I read the can for the first time and felt better. Patience and Fortitude. My friends reminded me that I’d had it all along and that we’ll get through this together, separately. ❤️ taken in Clinton Hill by @heatherflocc_lear
