On Friday, April 17th, we said goodbye to my mom, Shirley Beaton, loving wife to Kevin Smith, mother to Heather and Shawn, sister to Diane and Linda and grandmother to Parker and Jordan, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly😭😭💔

She was an active member of the 5Pin bowling community for over 40 years and had a passion for quilting and crafting. Whenever a family member or friend was expecting a new baby, you could be sure one of Shirley’s quilts was on the way.

My heart is broken, and I am devastated. She was our rock. Someone I could count on and could turn to whenever I needed, without question. Whether she was coaching or cheering me on in my bowling journey or driving 4hrs to North Bay for the birth of her first grandchild, Parker, she was always there. I will always remember her caring, loving nature and willingness to help when and where she could. She passed down her creativity and craftiness to her granddaughter Jordan, who I hope carries it on and takes it with her. I will cherish the memories that I have and the good times and laughs we had over the years. I didn’t get as long with you as I wanted to, but this is not goodbye, it’s so long for now, until we meet again. Love you Mommy😭💔

Information will be made available when arrangements are made. Please keep us in your thoughts as we begin to navigate our new normal. If anyone has photos they would like to share, please feel free to leave them in the comments💛 by @heatherj028
