This week I tried something and took a photo of myself (and occasionally @ginnymartin73 and @angieranneymartin :) and I just wanted to see what would change if anything.
Well something did. I started stopping in my tracks during this time and praying right as I stepped outside of the house before I got to where I was heading that day. I was “rushed” in about half of those days, and taking intentional time to pause and recenter on Christ was a game-changer.

So this is your reminder that you CAN MAKE time to pray and talk to the One who created it all in the first place. :)

Day in Chicago…yes!
Lovely reminder too that we can find Jesus working in the midst of our busyness and the chaos rush in life.
One of my favorite miracles Jesus preformed while He was on earth is a beautiful example of this (it’s found in Mark 5:24-34, and it’s the story of the woman with an incurable disease).
God is still working, and we are invited to constantly look for ways to see Him through this wonderful life. Don’t forget to be amazed by the doors that God opens when you are willing to reach for Him. ❤️❤️ by @heatherjeean

Hi there! If you don’t know me very well already, hello! My name is Heather and I am on a mission to live my life 100% for and because of Jesus Christ! 🙌 I believe that living with Jesus and following what He says to do is the best way to live life, and I want to share this joy with everyone!

So to my chicken…I met a man yesterday at my work and he was telling me his recipe for chicken (for context I work in retail and we sell a lot of spices @theseasonedhome). So as one does I found a recipe and tried to make it today. Obviously from the video you can see that it did work out well in the end; hallelujah! But that’s not what I took away from this…

I started the putting things together in a bowl before I had even read the whole list; something I think I do too often in my own life. I get impatient and don’t wait for God to provide before I move into my own plans. I didn’t end up having some very key ingredients and finding subs was a bit hilarious and messy, but that’s not my point either. Because I did make a mess, and it did take a long time, and I didn’t know what I was doing, BUT through it all I was able to see a side of God that I typically don’t.

Through my messy, confused unpreparedness, good chicken was still made. Through my messy, confused unpreparedness, God is still good.

Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

This is encouraging to me because even when I’m not ready, even when I don’t know what’s going on or how God could possibly turn a situation around, there He is. Promising that HE IS WORKING everything for good. He has a plan, He is in control. And I find a lot of joy in that.

I hope this encourages you today to not lean on yourself, your plans, or your ingredients. Because God truly can make absolute masterpieces from all of our mess. ❤️❤️❤️ by @heatherjeean
