Happy Birthday @_kielz_ XoxOxXo by @heatherlee.13

This sport reads like a romance novel. A central love story with no subplot. The emotional arc tested by external and internal factors, challenging the connection between the rider and the bike. The endless pursuit. The sometimes jilted lover. The happy ever after set aside as we settle our hearts with the happy for now. Velo Love.

Our scars tell our stories. This one is about survival, resilience and not allowing the actions of a careless driver to take away the things I love.

Every time I see it, though, I am flooded with emotions. Forever grateful I made it mixed with overwhelming sadness for those who weren’t nearly as lucky.
