She’s back. Recognise me? by @heatherrugc

I don’t usually write posts like this, I’ve been thinking of what to say for a while now. I just wanted to share a little bit of honesty.

The last couple of years have been incredibly hard. Living with severe endometriosis, adenomyosis, and all the complications that come with it has taken over my body and my life in ways most people don’t see. I live with constant pain, exhaustion, hormone chaos, and symptoms that affect even the most basic things like sleeping, eating, mobility, and just getting through the day.

I’m currently waiting for major surgery, which I know is my best chance at getting my health and my life back, but it also comes with a lot of complicated feelings and grief for the future I thought I’d have.

If I’ve been quieter or cancelled plans, it’s not because I don’t care, it’s because my body is dealing with more than most people realise. I don’t want sympathy in posting this, just to be understood.

I’m incredibly lucky to have love and support around me, especially from my wife. I’m holding onto the hope that this surgery will give me the chance to live with less pain and more freedom again 🤍 by @heatherrugc
