This weekend, we made a little trip down memory lane in College Station and got to stop by the elementary school where we first met and became boyfriend and girlfriend. ❤️

And yes… Ryne’s first kiss happened right here on this playground. 😂❤️

Seeing our kids running around and playing in the same place where we once did is such a surreal and special feeling.

Here we go! 1st day of 7th and 4th grade. Why do they look so much older?! I know they are so excited and ready to conquer all obstacles in their way. So proud of them.

This morning, a piece of my heart and soul set off for her next chapter… Ole Miss ❤️💙

I’ve cried tears of joy, pride, and definitely some sadness today. I’m so incredibly proud of this girl and the person she has become. I know she is going to do amazing things and make so many memories in this next chapter of her life.

As hard as it is to watch her leave, I’m so excited to see where this journey takes her. She knows Cousin is always just a phone call away, no matter where she is, and we’ll be there as much as we possibly can to see her and cheer her on.

I already can’t wait for her first break to have her back home. 🥹❤️

Today would have been my parents’ 52nd wedding anniversary.

I’ve honestly been dreading this day. There is a lot of grief behind it, and it hurts knowing I can’t call them, celebrate them, or see them together today. Losing both of them has left a hole in my heart that I feel every single day.

But one thing that brings me comfort is knowing they are together. After everything they went through, they get to spend this anniversary side by side in Heaven. I can picture them laughing, dancing, and enjoying each other the way they always did.

Fifty-two years is a lifetime of love, memories, and commitment, and I’m so grateful I got to witness that kind of love.

Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad. I miss you more than words can say, but I’m thankful you get to celebrate together today. ❤️ by @heathersandel

In the midst of so much sorrow and sadness, there was a bright spot that carried us through.

On May 22nd, on Avery's birthday, my first baby, Hayden, walked across the stage and into the next chapter of her life. While life has felt incredibly heavy lately, getting to celebrate Hayden and this amazing milestone was a reminder that even in our darkest seasons, there is still so much joy to be found.

For the past 18½ years, I have had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, talented, spiritual, compassionate, and intelligent young woman. I have been blessed to be part of her life—not just as an aunt, but as a second mom, a soft place to land, a keeper of secrets, a sounding board, and one of her biggest cheerleaders.

Hayden, I am so incredibly proud of you. The young woman you have become is remarkable, and I have no doubt that you are going to do amazing things at Ole Miss. And yes, I fully intend to visit ALL THE TIME!

You mean the world to your mom, and you mean the world to me. As you begin this new adventure, I want you to know that I will always be here to walk through life with you, celebrate your victories, help carry your burdens, and lift you up when you need it. No matter where life takes you, you will never have to wonder if you have someone in your corner.

Your mom loves you beyond measure, and I promise to continue being one of the people who helps make sure you always feel that love, support, and encouragement surrounding you.
