1st place in my age division at the Divas Half Marathon in Galveston!✨

Went into it not chasing a PR…I just wanted to keep it around a fun, easy 10’30” pace and that’s exactly what I did.

8 years later and I’m out here leading CG fieldwork for trainers from different cities and states while standing right alongside vet trainers whose fieldwork I used to attend at the very start of my journey. Talk about a full circle, high-energy moment. My heart is so full. 🫶🏻 taken in The Cedars Ranch by @heathertunches

PR SECURED, BABY!!!!!! 🏁✨

What a day. Seriously…all glory to God! I’m still on my runner’s high!

Couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better group of friends to share it with.

Last year I ran the Harbor Half in 2:55 with an avg pace of 13:24… and this year I crossed that finish line in 2:15 with a 10:15 pace! 🙌🏼

I fought for this one. Last year I crossed that finish line exhausted, unsure if I’d ever see real progress. But I stayed the course…through the heat, the long runs, the setbacks, and the doubts…and came back stronger. 😩👏🏻

A few weekends ago discipline looked like 5 miles across the new bridge with my girls. 🏃🏻‍♀️

It’s never just about the miles…it’s about showing up when it’s uncomfortable, pushing through heavy legs, and building the consistency that carries into everything else.

The bridge was just the backdrop. The real win was proving again that endurance is built one step at a time. Race day loading…🔥 by @heathertunches

day 6 – our last full day in germany and it flew by. we went to berlin and checked out the neue museum (queen nefertiti’s bust was insane), walked a ton, saw the berlin wall, found döner kebabs that i’m now obsessed with, and made one last stop at the haribo store. kristin (karla’s mom) made us a delicious dinner when we got back.

Day 5 in Germany Recap 🇩🇪

Started my day with a 3.5 mile run in Eberswalde before heading to Dresden for the day! We met up with Karla’s dad who made us the sweetest little picnic with meatballs, olives, bread, cheese, and spinach pastries — right by the Elbe River with a perfect view of Dresden Castle.

We explored some beautiful churches, popped into the opera house, and visited the Green Vault (no pics allowed). We grabbed some ice cream, tried cookies at a factory, sampled funky cheeses, rode the Wheel of Vision, and ended with kaffee und kuchen at the cutest little café.

Dresden had such a cool mix of old and new. The newer areas had kind of a NYC vibe with graffiti, chill cafes, and people just hanging out outside.

day 4 & 3 – lüneburg + schwerin, germany 🇩🇪

spent the day in lüneburg with karla’s aunt who showed us around—beautiful churches, a cozy beer garden, and some really good ice cream. once we got back to karla’s place — I knocked out a quick mile. 🏃🏻‍♀️

in schwerin, we visited karla’s mom’s hometown, met her sweet grandma for kaffee und kuchen (like german afternoon tea), explored the castle, hopped on a little tour bus around town, peeked inside a couple shops, and wrapped up the day with a great dinner.
