Reposting this because it’s still relevant and I stand on it 📌

Puff puff batter does not need to be mixed for an hour. It does not need to sit overnight. It does not need to proof until it’s climbing out of the bowl. 🛑

Overworking your batter = tough, dense puff puff. And no amount of “effort” fixes that.

I talk about this because I care about the craft — and because shortcuts and overcomplications are two sides of the same problem.

So yes, when someone tells you “I can get it cheaper somewhere else” after I explain my process — that’s fine. Quality has a standard. 🙌 taken in London, Ontario by @heavenly_chops

Hi, I’m Abiola 👋🏾 , most of you know me as Heavenly Chops and honestly? I love that for us 😄💝
Your girl became a 9-5 girl and had to stay locked in 🔒 A lot was expected of me in my new role and I refused to show up halfway , so I went quiet, put my head down, and got to work.
But today? Today I had to come out of hiding. 🥂
Because Heavenly Chops is 6 years old 🎂✨
When I started, I didn’t have a blueprint. I had a love for good food, an eye for beautiful tables, and a little kitchen in Shangisha, Lagos. That was enough to begin.
From that home kitchen → my own store in Magodo Brooks → a leap of faith to Barking, UK 🇬🇧 → and now rooted and thriving in London, Ontario 🇨🇦 — creating luxury canapés, pastries, and tablescapes that make people stop and stare.
Six years of weddings, parties, and events I am so deeply proud of. Six years of building something that is fully mine.
God has been writing a story I couldn’t have imagined. 🙏🏾
To everyone who checked on me while I was silent ,you kept the fire going and I will never forget that. This one is for every single one of you. 💝
Heavenly Chops. Six years strong. We’re just getting started. 👑 taken in London, Ontario by @heavenly_chops
