I’m selling the hat off my head.

We’ve been through a lot together. It’s always been there, always had my head. It’s time now.

Goodbye Comrade.

Keep Me Company / Dan Canyon

_

Chairs are our friends, they’re loyal and they are always there for us. We probably mistreat them and carry on in this manner, unaware of their feelings. We do this because they are so loyal. Because when we are in need of rest we know where they will be.

What a world it would be if we could be followed everywhere by our favoured chair. The pitter-patter of their tiny feet behind us, attentive and aware of our every move. Should you wish to stop and rest, chair will be there. Shimmying into position just in time to cushion our descent. And us, unaware of the effort.

Keep Me Company is a piece of writing that explores this possibility.

Accompanying the piece is a set of conversations with some superb human beings on the subject of Chairs and other living things.

It’s out tomorrow via the good people @side_orders.
