You pay to train.
You pay to compete.
You pay for seminars.
You pay for hotels.
You pay for gas.
You pay for food on the road.

After traveling to a few events recently I was reminded just how expensive this sport (and life in general) has become.

I came home asking myself one question:

If I'm frustrated by that experience, why am I adding to that?

Heavy Handed exists because I love this sport, this community, and I want to contribute to it.

So I'm changing things.

Every rashguard: $35.
Every pair of shorts: $35.

Not for a weekend. Not for a clearance sale. That's the new price.

I'd rather see more people wearing good gear than participate in bleeding everyone dry. If lowering our margins means more people can afford quality gear and still have money left over to do what you love, that's a trade I'm happy to make.

The community has given me a lot over the years. This is one way I can give a little back.
