let me introduce you to BEFORE THE STARS FALL, a space romantasy I’ve been toying with for months but only just nailed down the themes! I plan on making this a short (by my standards) standalone exploring themes around mental health, motherhood, and feeling like you aren’t enough…

yes, directly inspired by what I’ve been going through postpartum—a longer story for another day, especially the erasure of my identity by others as anything other than "mama" before my baby was even in my arms 🙃

Idalia, the FMC, is not a mother in the literal sense but the keeper of magic in her world. if you’re a caretaker of any sort, AFAB, or neurodivergent, you’ll probably see yourself in her struggles
