Beauty business owners — ever feel like your budget was built for someone else’s kind of business?

You’re not imagining it. Most of the advice out there doesn’t speak to what you actually deal with—
 💸 Backbar supply runs
 🛍️ Inventory restocks
 🪑 Booth or suite rent
 📉 Slow seasons
 👯‍♀️ Team member payouts
… it adds up fast—and if you’re just guessing, things slip through the cracks.

I’ve worked with salon owners, estheticians, lash techs, and skincare brand founders who were hustling hard but still feeling behind financially.

Here’s the truth 👉🏿

Your budget isn’t meant to control you. It’s meant to support you.

Think of it as a compass, not a cage.

It should reflect how your beauty business actually operates—so you can grow without guessing.

If your numbers feel messy or misaligned, let’s fix that. I’ll help you set up a clear, confident financial system that works for your beauty biz.

Being a solopreneur means you’re juggling everything — from client work to admin tasks to, yes… keeping up with your books. 😅

But here’s the truth: bookkeeping isn’t optional if you want to grow a profitable, sustainable business.

It’s not just about filing taxes — it’s about knowing your numbers, making smart decisions, and feeling confident in your finances year-round. 💼
That’s where I come in.

I work directly with each client to:
✅ Set up a system that makes sense for them
✅ Meet regularly — not just at tax time
✅ Proactively plan for taxes (not panic over them)
✅ Identify every legitimate deduction — and leave nothing on the table
✅ Save money by knowing exactly what to write off (and what not to)
✅ Stay on track, stay organized, and feel supported year-round

This isn’t just data entry — this is a financial partnership. And I’m here for the full journey.
Ready to enroll? Let’s build your system, your strategy, and your confidence — together.

Beauty Bosses: Not everything you pay yourself is counted as a business “expense”—and that’s totally normal depending on your business structure!

If you’re a sole proprietor or single-member LLC, your “paycheck” is considered an owner’s draw, not an expense—so it won’t show up on your P&L. It’s pulled from equity, not business income.

S-Corp owner?

Your salary does appear on the P&L, but distributions do not.

If your bookkeeping doesn’t reflect this correctly, it can raise red flags and throw off your financial reports (and your taxes 😬).
This is especially important if you're:
💅 Paying yourself from beauty product sales
✂️ Pulling income from your salon or studio
📦 Running an e-comm brand and drawing from the business
You deserve clean books and confident numbers.

Let’s clear up the confusion between COGS (cost of goods sold) and gross profit, because this one mistake could be throwing off your numbers big time.

COGS includes only the direct costs to produce or deliver your beauty product or service—think skincare ingredients, packaging, lash trays, salon supplies, or subcontracted artists.
Gross profit = revenue - COGS

That’s what’s left before rent, marketing, booking software, or your salon suite.
The mistake?

✨ Mixing everyday business expenses into COGS.

That skews your gross profit and hides whether your pricing is actually profitable.
If you're not categorizing your costs correctly, you could be undercharging without even knowing it.

💸 Knowing your real margins helps you price with confidence—and scale smarter.
Need help getting your numbers to make sense?
Let’s talk!

I’m not talking about clicking “accept” on all of your bank transactions and letting auto categorization rules do their thing...

I’m talking fully reconciling each bank account and credit card statement down to the penny in your books!

If you haven’t done this since February (or even earlier), you need to outsource your bookkeeping ASAP. 📚

You deserve more than just someone to crunch numbers.

When you enroll, you’re saying yes to a partnership that prioritizes:
 ✔️ Clarity in your finances
 ✔️ Confidence in your deductions
✔️ A system that actually works for your business
We’ll meet often, talk tax strategy all year long, and build out a plan that helps you pay what you owe — and not a penny more.

This is about working smarter, not harder. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Ever wonder what the difference is between a bookkeeper and an accountant?

Bookkeepers are with you month to month, handling the day-to-day. Accountants usually step in once or twice a year for taxes or big-picture stuff.

Not all accountants do bookkeeping, so having both can really work in your favor.

They each bring something valuable, and together, they help you stay on top of your finances.

We're grateful to have experience in both, it’s helped me support my clients in a more complete way. by @hebronfinancialsolutions
