Shot on iPhone 15 Pro while traveling Japan.
Graded in Da Vinci Resolve.

Text by me, translation by my friend @isaacseaver , voice by Mai.

“As we wandered together,
You always made me walk at your pace.
At times, your steps felt too slow,
Stirring quiet frustration within me.
Yet how as I walk this path alone,
I still find my steps falling in rhythm with yours.
The way you taught me to see the world
Continues to shape how I gaze upon it today.
I’ve grown attuned to the quiet kindness in people,
And the unseen shadows of their loneliness.
Each of these small moments smiles at me
From deep within my heart, tinged with quiet pain.
At times, I wish I had spent more time
Sharing those glimpses with you
But even now that you are gone,
I still carry your gift with me:
The way you taught me to see the world.”

It was an interesting experience making a first version of the text in English then translating to Japanese and back again to English with Isaac, some concepts just don’t translate literally and sometimes had to be adjusted. It shows how language can shape your vision on certain things. Thanks Isaac for the work 🤝 by @hectorballner
