Another successful evening full of good energy and the spirit of sharing took place on the second of this year’s ENCUENTRO.

The afternoon conference reflected on important issues in Performance Art and addressed much needed dialogue regarding contemporary approaches to its form, context and delivery.

The evening provided new audiences with a taste of different modalities of approaching Performance Art from text based work to movement and voice integration in the form.

Thanks to all presenting and participating artists and new audiences !

… in Berlin

After the completion of IBERICA Performance Art & Residency Program @ibericaperformanceart working with nine artists in Torrijos, Toledo and presenting their work at La Neomudéjar in Madrid, I continued my journey to Santa Pola in Alicante to participate in “Tourist Beach”a project by Veronica Peña where I met and worked with artists Mario Montoya and Cora Novoa. Following Alicante, I travelled to Barcelona to complete my stay in Spain and head back to Germany.

Now I’m Berlin, the 4th ENCUENTRO Latinoamericano de Performance Art @encuentroperformanceberlin had its inaugural presentation at Galeria Lunasol last evening ! From now until July 26 I will be presenting this long term initiative in the city.

Berlin friends, I hope to see you for ENCUENTRO 2026.

After completing the 2nd edition of IBERICA, Performance Art & Residency Program @ibericaperformanceart , first in Torrijos, Toledo, at Distrito del Arte de Torrijos: Silo de Torrijos and the Hospital Museum of the Ayuntamiento de Torrijos, and later at the Museo La Neomudéjar in Madrid, Spain, I’m traveling to Alicante.

From July 17 to 20 I will be in Santa Pola, Alicante as part of the project TOURIST BEACH” to explore and participate in a program focused on Participatory Performance Art with artists Mario Montoya and Cora Intel organized by Veronica Peña.

Residencia & Festival de Arte Performance
15 y 16 de julio 2026
Museo La Neomudéjar

Tras finalizar el programa de residencia, haber conducido talleres, y realizado presentaciones en Torrijos, Toledo, los artistas participantes de la segunda edición de IBERICA regresaron a Madrid para continuar con sus presentaciones.

El programa de performances en el Museo La Neomudéjar se realiza los días miércoles 15 y jueves 16 de julio, de 18:00 a 21:00 horas.

Los artistas participantes presentarán nuevos trabajos durante el programa y una performance colaborativa el día miércoles 15 de julio.

Presentations at the Museum Hospital of Torrijos
Domingo, 12 de julio

In this second presentation at the historial site of what was once a convent, hospital and school in Torrijos, participating artists created performative interventions that dialogued between the various rooms of the site and their own corporeal expression.

Workshop with children, youth, artistas and the community of Torrijos.
The workshops took place at the Bus Station, Distrito del Art de Torrijos, DAT, and were conducted by various artists:
Hector Canonge: Corporal Actioning
Maria Gray: The Inner Voice
Jacqueline van der Geer: Authentic Movement
Veronica Peña: In Touch
Julie Pichavant: Displacing the Body

The workshops were conducted in a period of 3 hours shifting in the space and methodologies that each artist brought to the event.
