‘Obscura Natura (Magic Mushroom)’ pan 2026

In November we will take part in PAN Amsterdam for the second time, where we are presenting the group exhibition ‘Obscura Natura (Magic Mushroom)’. Once again, we are showcasing a combination of contemporary art and Art Nouveau ceramics and glass. The exhibition presents thought-provoking interpretations of nature in an alienating yet inspiring way.

We are offering exceptional masterpieces from the Art Nouveau period (1870–1920) by Loetz Witwe and St. Lukas Utrecht, as well as objects designed by Theo Colenbrander for RAM Arnhem. The contemporary artists we represent often explore themes similar to those of the ceramic designers in their depictions of nature, craftsmanship and technical innovation. We are exhibiting (partly new) works by, amongst others,

Still glowing from yesterday’s opening at @nap.plus!

We had such a great evening and received so many wonderful responses to @elsemarijnbruys installation.
And, as the cherry on top, we’ve also been nominated for the NAP+ Award!

The weekend has only just begun! The sun is out, so jump on your bike, catch a train, hop in the car, whatever gets you there, and come visit NAP+.

Today is the opening of @nap.plus in Amsterdam.

We’re excited to be showing a site-specific installation by @elsemarijnbruys, interacting with the architecture and, above all, with its visitors.

Monumental versions of classics from Bruys’ practice fill the space: PUFF, WARP, and a selection of sculptural works. And not just any PUFF, for the past few months, Bruys has been developing a bronze-cast version especially for the occasion.

Together, the works create a hall of mirrors in which Bruys’ minimal interventions play with space, reflection and perception — inviting visitors to become part of the installation.

We’re excited to announce the upcoming solo exhibition, ‘MANI MINI’ by @elsemarijnbruys at
@nap.plus

For the second time we will participate at the NAP+, a boutique contemporary art fair in Amsterdam. We will present a solo exhibition by Elsemarijn Bruys who will develop a site-specific installation especially for NAP+ that interacts with the architectural environment and, above all, with visitors.

Monumental versions of classics from Bruys’ work hang on the walls: PUFF and WARP and more spatial work. Not just any PUFF, but a bronze-cast and chrome-plated PUFF that Bruys has developed over the past few months! The whole forms a hall of mirrors of Bruys’ minimal interventions, which activate and fascinate visitors to NAP+ with maximum effect.

Opening this Friday at @heejsteck ! I’m joining with some previous works.

Heejsteck is opening the new art season with the group exhibition ‘Late Summer Expressions,’ presenting the work of five artists new to the gallery: @eadyvanacker @silviab.visual.arts , @lukas.vonk , @kata_unger , and myself.

What connects our work is a shared fascination with our surroundings, each in our own way, an invitation to the viewer to embrace an alternative perspective. The unpredictable nature of late summer offers a fitting backdrop for these diverse, thought-provoking reflections on the world around us.

It’s Not About Me.

Through mirrors, colour, light and air, Bruys transforms the spaces we inhabit, creating subtle interventions that challenge perception and invite us to see our surroundings anew.
