I keep coming back to this feeling; not quite pride, not quite relief, just gratitude sitting heavy in my chest 🥹 This year taught me things I didn’t know I needed to learn: how to sit with myself when it’s quiet, how to choose joy on purpose instead of waiting for it to show up, how to let go of what wasn’t serving me anymore, even when letting go was scary 🥺

Somewhere along the way I made a promise to myself; Not for anyone else, not for a camera, just for me. A quiet challenge to drag myself out of every box I’d built around my own fear. I did things that scared me 😭 I sat with discomfort on purpose. I chased my spark down when it felt like it had left me for good, and slowly, painfully, beautifully; I found it again 🙈 I trained my mind to stop shrinking, to stop waiting for permission to explore who I could be. That challenge broke something open in me that I don’t think will ever close again 🙏🏿

I’m not the same girl I was a year ago, and I don’t want to be. To every version of me that kept showing up when it was hard; THANK YOU! 🥰 To God, for grace I didn’t earn but received anyway. To the people who loved me through the becoming; THANK YOU ALL ❤️

Here’s to New age Here’s to becoming exactly who I’m meant to be 🥂✨ by @heekmat_
