Happy birthday to the girl of my dreams! I know this post is a few days late but we were too busy celebrating with so much love that even time lost its value! YOUR’RE MY PRICELESS TREASURE MY QUEEN! Our destinys aligned when you were born on September 1st because no matter what and no matter where you were, I was going to find you!

I could write poems and love letters but it would never be enough to describe how much I LOVE YOU! Instead I shower you with all I have because you are my EVERYTHING! Unconditional love is the only way to truly love! I have known you for almost 17 years which is half your life and I keep falling deeper and deeper in love!

Before we became moms and a dad, before spouses, careers, responsibilities, and the beautiful little families we built… we were 2 sisters and 2 brothers. And no matter how much life changes, that will always be one of the deepest parts of who we are.

Raksha Bandhan speaks of a sister tying a rakhri around her brother’s wrist — a sacred thread symbolizing love, protection, and the promise that he will always stand beside her.

And with my brothers, that promise has never just lived in a thread.

One call, and they are there.

Pillars beside me — unmovable and unshakable. Through every season of my life, they have shown their love and care in the biggest ways and the smallest ones. Sometimes loudly, sometimes without saying a word at all. But always making sure I know: you are never standing alone.

But lucky for me, I was given a third pillar too — my sister. A force to be reckoned with. Fierce, strong, loyal, and the kind of woman you want standing beside you when life gets hard.

And then there’s me — the eldest. 😂 The first protector of the bunch. Because rakhri or no rakhri, if anyone even looked at one of my siblings sideways, I was ready to jump. Some things never change.

Maybe that is the real magic of Raksha Bandhan.

The thread may traditionally be tied between a sister and her brother, but the raksha — the protection — has always flowed between all four of us.

Brother protecting sister.
Sister protecting brother.
Sister protecting sister.
All four protecting one another.

Like four pillars holding up the same home.

Life has given each of us our own homes, our own responsibilities, and our own little families now. But before all of that, there were 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Four children from the same home.
Four pillars.
Four protectors.
One sacred bond.

And wherever this life takes us, that invisible thread between the four of us can never be broken.

Happy Anniversay my Queen!! You're the air that I breathe! Today is Officially 5 years since we took our Lavaan! I love you more than I'll ever be able to put into words!

Our love is poetic and sacred because of the way we found eachother! There was never a doubt in my mind that I was going to marry you! Here we are married and blessed with so much love and happiness!

They say if it rains on your wedding day its considered a divine blessing from the universe and I have to say we brought a storm baby! There was a hurricane and we were dancing and celebrating with our loved ones because nothing mattered more than that moment! It was perfect in its own way!

There has always been something magical about midnight birthdays to me. ✨🎂

Growing up, midnight meant birthday cake, candles glowing in a dark room, everyone gathered around trying to stay quiet before bursting into Happy Birthday, and making a wish the second the clock struck twelve. It was never about how big the celebration was—it was about knowing that the people you loved wanted to be there for the very first minute of your birthday.

Before kids, I would literally tell my husband, “My siblings are coming at midnight, I know it.” 😂 I’d get ready and wait…and sure enough, just minutes before 12, they would show up with a cake ready for candles.

Growing up, we didn’t have a lot, but somehow our birthdays always felt like we had everything. We had cake. We had candles. We had wishes. We had eyes full of dreams. And most importantly, we had so much love. 🤍

Then I had kids and somewhere along the way, midnight birthdays became impossible because your girl can barely make it past 10 p.m. 😂 I literally had to start telling everyone, “Please, I love you, but NO midnight surprises.”

But this birthday, my husband surprised me with a little staycation so I could actually rest and relax. My sister joined me, and we spent the day shopping, stopping at cafés, laughing, and ending with a late dinner.

Then midnight came.

I suddenly hear her lighting a match.

Before I can even turn around, she goes, “Just smoking some weed.” 😭😂😂😂 WHICH OBVIOUSLY SHE DOESN’T, but this girl will never miss an opportunity to make me laugh.

And then I saw what the match was really for…

Candles. On a birthday cake. At midnight. 🥹🎂✨

And for a second, I felt like that little girl again.

The girl waiting for midnight.
The cake.
The glowing candles.
The wish.
And her family right there beside her.

Life looks so different now, but somehow the magic still feels exactly the same.

It’s these memories that make my heart the happiest. The traditions that follow you through every version of yourself. The people who keep showing up. The laughter that never changes.
