We all have that outfit. The one you spent months (and honestly, a small fortune) hunting down, wore once for someone’s wedding, and now it just lives in your wardrobe collecting dust and a little bit of guilt.

That’s exactly why I built @heeyauri📲

It’s a peer-to-peer app where south asian occasionwear finally gets worn more than once. Rent it, lend it, buy it, sell it. Beautiful pieces staying in circulation instead of landfills, going to people who’ll actually love them.

Sharing outfits is something our families have always done. I come from three generations of tailors, so this doesn’t feel like a start-up idea to me. It just feels normal. auri makes it easier.

Would you love it as much without the YSL label?

This gold Saint Laurent top got us thinking about the details we admire on a runway, but leave sitting in our own wardrobes.

The embellishment. The floral patterns. The blouse you’ve decided only belongs at a wedding.

We see a resemblance to South Asian occasionwear. We haven’t confirmed this top’s inspiration or where it was made.

But the question remains: does a luxury label change how we value something familiar?
