HAPPY HARD LAUNCH MONDAY!

So, I got the honor to go to the Hard Launch Show in Denver on the 21st. Now I get to remember the amazing time I had there. Definitely a lot different than the last tour, I got to interact with some amazing Local and visiting Phannies, Like @trikaratop. (Also yapping on the Phone with @gretchasketches, we'll see each other IRL one day) It was amazing interacting with @danandphil post Hard Launch. And giving them, plus Phadmins @emiliawheat and @ukulayla, some cute bracelets for the road. (Everyone was lovely to chat with). This show was amazing and the crowd was insane (mind you, we're show 4). This was really the culmination of 16 years of these guys and the community they created. It's crazy, it's exciting, and thought provoking looking into how we, as an audience and the creators, navigate a world where these guys can choose to share more of their lives, only if they actually want to. This is a journey that they're taking, and they should not compare theirs to others, they're just doing their own thing. And again, I think a lot of us are happy with what they share now, not gonna force them to do things. Time Does Change Everything. I'm looking forward to others seeing this experience with their own eyes. by @heffnerjordan

2025... Finally over. A lot has happened. Some good, some bad. Lots of Media that I enjoyed (some with some very relivent timing). Some changes within my control, some without. Finding community was something important to me, hence my trip to Iceland to meet other fans of Dan and Phil (who literally Hard Launched this year, Congrats again). I got to meet and interact with different people this year, from fan events to even my new Job. I'm working on getting into a better direction with my relationships, career and Financial goals. I'm still here, I'm pushing on Through. I march onward. by @heffnerjordan

So, a week ago, I flew overseas to see the last Terrible Influence show in Reykjavík. And while It was only 3 full days, those days gave me a lot of memories and bonds to keep as motivation for the future (and those friends are so many to tag).
The thing is, this was my 3rd show, but I had some people who joined me from Denver and Red Bank plus a whole bunch of people from Europe. Honestly, I needed this trip. To be surrounded by people who are like me, it's a reminder about how important community is. The show was chaotic, and the audience was unhinged. It was so worth going.
@danielhowell and @amazingphil, Thank you for coming back. Thanks for this show. Thanks for helping to create a community that cares. I'll see you online, and I'm excited for what the next chapter brings. taken in Reykjavík, Iceland by @heffnerjordan

2024... What the heck was this year? This year had so many things: My first time flying internationally and nationally. 1 concert, 4 different stage shows (two I saw twice), tons of new movies, books, shows, and music I continued or discovered. Got to meet some amazing people I'm honored to call my friends and mutuals. Plus, I made changes in my life that are showing some promise.
I might be concerned for the next year, but I will continue onwards. Start fresh with a new year. by @heffnerjordan

So, I got to see Shrek the Musical yesterday, before it left Denver. I've known about this show since its creation in 2008, and I even owned the proshot. But things have definitely changed since then, and I was curious to see what the newly Tony-winning book and music writers changed or updated. Honestly, I'm in love with this production. It's definitely more inspired by local productions, how some of the sets and costumes are more homemade and not as detailed as other high budget shows. Which actually feels perfect for a story that's very opposite of Disney. The whole production fells very handmade, reminding me of another fave of mine, the Spongebob Musical. I loved how creative they got for some sections, like using lighting for quick changes or puppets for younger versions. And yes, there are a lot of updates to dialogue and songs, which was expected and actually worked. The show is also much shorter, about 2 hours, but they still get the points they want to make across.
And the Cast, oh my goodness. This cast was so good. The trio of Leads: Nicholas Hambruch, Cecily Dionne Davis, and Naphtali Yaakov Curry, they really took over their roles. Honestly, every member in this cast deserves a round of applause because this show is apparently the first ever tour for a good chunk of the cast. This cast is smaller than most, with lots of ensemble role switching throughout, but they did amazing.
Honestly, if you get a chance to see this on the road, it's a fun time. I bid a safe journey to this team as they continue their tour and break plenty of legs.

Also, I will be awaiting a sound recording with this cast because I need to hear them singing these songs again ASAP. taken in Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre by @heffnerjordan

Mid-February, I flew to London to see We're All Doomed, again, twice. These were announced as the final shows, set to be filmed and screened at the end of February, and by some miracle, I got tickets for each night. It was a very spur-of-moment trip. I was super excited to see the show since the last time I saw it, I had just turned 25, and a lot has changed since then. And man, was this an experience. I had so many memories in the 2 days I ventured to the Alexandra Palace. I got to see and hear people's reactions and remember my own experiences at my first-ever show. The show on the 11th had the most unhinged audience I've ever been part of. And I got to see one of the sweetest curtain calls ever to this show. I even did my first stage door meetings. The ending of the show hit differently for me, and I needed to hear that message again.
I got to meet so many people and have some interesting conversations. Gretchen, Kat, Eddie, Lena, Zoe, Kat, and the rest of the first group, it was wonderful to be integrated, even as an honorary member. Aida and Lauren, I'm glad we chatted and got a laugh at how our go-to pose was peace signs. Alba, Calvina, Jules, and Keelan, whom I met in the lobby of the hotel, and walked home together. And Alba, I was so happy to show you my own M&G video to help you prep for yours. Shout out to fellow Coloradan fans Trin and Anais, whom I randomly met in the line for merch. Zara, thanks for swiping my fallen items from a crushed fate. Also, hello to anyone to whom I just introduced myself if you were seated next to me or I just randomly remembered, like Flo, Kayleigh, and Chloe. Sarah, Neil, and Luke, who ran the merch booth, were amazing and sweet.
@danielhowell, The fact that you were in such a dark mindset and decided to start writing this show to get yourself out is amazing. The past 2 years of rants, jokes, deep connections, and memories on and off the stage were unforgettable. And again, the pride I feel towards you is immeasurable. I know a lot of us were going through a rough time as well when the show happened, and you inspired a lot of us to keep going. And we have to thank you for that. Maybe We’re not All Doomed. taken in Alexandra Palace by @heffnerjordan

So... I got to see We're All Doomed. An amazing experience about examining how doomed our world is and if there's any reason to fight for change. I laughed, I got emotional. And I almost lost my voice singing and yelling. Shoutout to the awesome staff, merch team and the crew of the tour for helping make this night fun. If you have a chance to see this, do it. You definitely won't regret it.

I had a wonderful time meeting other fans and socializing. It was nice meeting everyone: Vex/Val, Q, Maddie, Gianna and her friend Alyssa, Max and his fiancée (who I can blame for being unable to see Toucan Sam any differently).

And finally, while I acknowledge @danielhowell will probably never see this, I'm still gonna say some things. This guy has made a fun and supportive community and It's been awesome seeing him develop into who he is today. The show was an great embodiment of Dan himself. I never got to say more than what I did say when I finally got to meet you so I wanted to say this: thank you for being someone I look forward to their content and stories, thanks for helping me start to figure out who I was, my issues and all. And thank you for being courageous and just existing. You can do it. Stay safe out there.

So I saw the Spongebob Musical the day after it began the run in Denver. I went with my sister and my dad and our view of the stage was pretty incredible. I was so glad to have seen it and I think it's now one of my favorites. It's colorful and bubbling with fun details, the characters I grew up with on tv had me welling up with emotions, but this odd little show about a Simple Sponge ended up having a personal impact almost after I saw it.

Right before intermission began, the Narrator says 'Enjoy your last intermission... Ever'. Little did I or anyone in that theater know, it really would be. The world began closing businesses, canceling events and prepping for the indefient self quarantine. People felt like they had No Control over what was happening. While this was happening, I ended up going back to this show, about fear spreading in someone's world and how one person's optimism drove them to solve the problem while the rest of the town was trying to survive. I found inspiration to make the most out of my time.

Spongebob and the messages of being optimisitc in times of panic and being kind to each other is so important at this time. I was so sad to hear that it had to cut their tour so short, but I am thankful that I was able to see them and I hope that this show will return to tour the country someday.

Thank you Spongebob and crew, for creating a story that ended up helping me and others to keep our heads up in the stormy sea and to inspire us that we can make every day the Best Day Ever. taken in Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre by @heffnerjordan

So I have seen 3 different products of Curious Incident over the past few years: a touring production, a filmed version from 2012 and more recently, a local production from @fineartscenter.
All different stages, all different actors, the same story being told with different details.

If you have not seen a production of this Tony winning play yet, this is probably a great production to start with. The stage is unique in its design and it was also able to introduce interesting details into the set via the lighting, sounds, set design and even the costuming and props.
The actors did a fantastic job in portraying their characters so realistically, it was just pure raw emotions. The best examples I could give would be @brianlandisfolkins (Ed Boone), Meghan Andrews (Judy Boone) and especially @loganrileybruner (Christopher Boone). The ensemble themselves was able to become their own characters and be an extention of Christopher himself, each having different yet unified reactions.

Best part about the night I saw the show was the fact that me and a couple other audiences members were able to go behind the scenes and see how aspects of the show were created, and learned about different features as well from the sets, costumes and even how the animals are cared for. (also, Hi to Christopher himself who was listening to the Set and Lighting designers talk after the show was done). So, if you have not see this show yet, I would highly recommend it. The presentation is unique and the messages it presents are human and real. (And yes, that is all the things I have that are connected to the show in the second picture, I could not show the fact I owned the soundtrack on Itunes) taken in Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College by @heffnerjordan

So... I just saw the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime...
It was amazing, beyond comprehension. I have been waiting for 2 years to see this, and it finally happened.
Consdering my Mom and I had a lengthy conversation on the ride home, it was so worth the wait. 😄
Thanks to the Curious Incident cast and crew for an amazing experience. And "Break a Leg" for the rest of your time in Denver, and on the rest of the tour.
(And yes, that is real confetti 😊)
