I was trying to write this scene. Then I thought, hey, why not draw it? So, I guess I’ll write it tomorrow. 😅

I’ve been drawing a lot lately, which is great. It’s so therapeutic.

I’ve wanted to try out the paint brushes on Procreate. So, watch watch me do trial and error on positioning and coloring in. 😅

Oh, this is Nineta and Kazi from my YA Romantasy WIP. ❤️

I've been thinking of changing my theme on Instagram. I started using this blueish green color because of the maritime setting in my Romantasy WIP, but I don't feel the vibes. But I found this traditional attire that I wanted to use for the rebrand. What do you think?

I imagined a merging of Steampunk tunic design with the traditional clothing of the Sama-Bajau, which is called patadyong.

But the patterns of my drawing are heavily influenced by the tapis, a traditional clothing in the mountainous Northern region of the Philippines (because I am from the North).

I might update the patterns, but this is doing great for me, at least for now.

This is my MC, Nineta who is a Sea Drifter. It took some time to draw this, and it's already my third draft.

I will draw her love interest very soon.

Just keep writing... I always hear Dory's voice when I say that. 😅 But yeah, every word counts. It's one word closer to the end of the story. One word closer to publication. And one word closer to getting your book into a reader's hands.

Also, if you are interested in a YA Romantasy inspired by the culture of the Philippines, I'm currently writing one.

I like to write in different genres, but so far the closest I got to writing Contemporary is a Magical Romance. 😅 I just can't seem to get the Fantasy out of my writing.

Also, I was going to try to act this out, but I feared I'm not good at acting. 😅 So, I just decided to make a comics. Hope you guys like.

This is Nineta from my YA Romantasy WIP, set in a maritime Steampunk world and inspired by Filipino culture.

In the original novel that I wrote, she had long hair, but I decided to chop it off because it just makes sense for a swimmer (I think).

She turned out looking a little older than I wanted her to be, so I might redraw her. Plus, I kind of botched her attire because I was in a hurry to get this done.

I'm not a pro artist, and I'm still trying to figure out my art style, but I think this turned out well. l'll draw a full body soon.
