Finally making a post about an art gallery opening we attended the other week at @nowhere_newyork. Thank you for the invite @aaronwexlerstudio, I forgot to get a photo of you and @_lisarhamilton_. Izzy chatted electrical work with the artist @exonemo. We saw @yyodapaintings and his family, I remember it like yesterday his mom @junkokishiyoda made sushi rolls for his painting show at Tyler School of Art back in the 90s. Yoi and his mom were very kind to gift us catalogs of each of their solo shows at same gallery. Izzy saw a long time client @sawanomizue who is also a painter, and we found out a friend of the Yoda family as well. Such a fun night out! Don’t mind my unruly hair, it was hot in the gallery, but at least I had some sake to help cool off. taken in NOWHERE NYC by @heidibender__

Just wow.

Honestly, I think I’ll remember tonight for the rest of my life.

I got to see Mamdani and Bernie speak at the beautiful Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. Getting in wasn’t a sure thing, so I had no idea if I’d actually make it inside.

I showed up about an hour and a half before they started letting people in, waited another 45 minutes to get seated, and then sat around for another hour and 15 minutes before the event even started.

Totally worth it.

The energy in that room was unreal. If things like taxing the rich, abolishing ICE, protecting working people, affordable housing, and saying “fuck Trump” resonate with you, these are definitely your people.

Had the best time this weekend at Danielle and Christina’s wedding. 💒

I’ve been trying to live in the moment more, put my phone down, and not feel like everything needs to be documented. I’ve also been going through a transition and doing a lot of work behind the scenes, but I’m not really ready to put all of that out there.

Not totally sure where it all leads, but this weekend was a good reminder to just enjoy what’s right in front of me.

We drank, we danced, we ate, and had great conversations. I have a lot of good photos, but somehow no photos of the appetizers at cocktail hour, which were insanely delicious.

So good catching up with Mike Camenzuli and his wonderful family.

Dinner was so delicious, so many contrasting flavors but also perfectly balanced at the same time. Great ambiance and drinks complimented the food, but also not skimping on flavor. @izzy_bebe you really surprised me and went above and beyond. We went to Murray Hill’s 25th Anniversary Christmas Spectacular at Lincoln Center last night and he surprised everyone by closing out the show by getting married on stage! Proud to say I started going to Murray’s drag bingo night in the East Village over 20 years ago with @juliemoreno_ where her sister @hopeyrock also worked that night. Eventually we followed Murray And @lindasimpson when Bingo night switched to a new venue. We’ve been to several of Murray’s Christmas Spectaculars over the years, among other things. I’ve always appreciated that Murray created a safe space for everyone, and laughter is the best medicine. Every time I see Murray in a new TV project I am so proud, and I love that he has not changed one bit in over 20 years. Such a generous gesture to share his wedding with us, he made me feel like I was truly part of a family event. taken in Alice Tully Hall by @heidibender__
