What happens next….

I doubt this is something that just concerns performers but this I feel is a massive part of being in the dancing industry & something that tbh fills me with a lot of anxiety

it’s amazing to ‘live in the moment’ but only having your life planned untill the end of a contract is something that really scares me - acceptance is one of the biggest assets I think every dancer should have & that includes how inconsistent work / auditions / planning your life can sometimes be

however, for someone who has openly struggled with their passions for it this year and has other creative goals in life, I find the idea of what comes next petrifying cause I geniunly don’t know what I want

I love travelling with work, but I also am ready for abit more stability? I love showgirl work, but I’ve never auditioned for anything MT? I feel I haven’t given London a go, but I have no desire to move rn? Do I want to go into a different creative industry, I don’t know where to start?

…. all this being said what has helped me recently is zooming out massively, taking a step back and looking at the overall picture/long term goal - taking the focus off what is specifically next & letting my longer term goals help align my decisions!!

we don’t need it all figured out but having a wider perspective on future me is slowly starting to help present me’s plans fall into place 🤍

how the hell was this a year ago!!!

a wise person once said ‘do it for the plot’ and I fear this couldn’t be more true for this very fun little chapter 💃🇲🇽
