Our favorite way to say goodbye to summer … spending Labor Day weekend at Hume Lake 🌲 ☀️ Country Fair, off-roading, hiking, catching frogs, a glow stick dance party (thank you Uncle Karl and Auntie Stephanie!) and a Big Daddy Weave concert by the lake. Lots of fun at the cabin with family ❤️ My home away home for nearly 36 years 🙂 taken in Hume Lake Christian Camps by @heidiliz

Oahu and Maui 2026 🌴 ☀️
Last minute resort changes, 2 sick kids (always, it’s our curse) and outrunning the hurricane to get home BUT we had a great week in Hawaii. Snorkeling, sea turtles, henna tattoos (now that’s a story 😂), hula pie, sandy everything ~ love making these memories! by @heidiliz

Love me some before and afters 🙌🏻 I had a vision when I first saw this kitchen and it was a lot of fun bringing ideas into a reality.

Cooking and baking and living in this kitchen for 4 months now ✨ Here are a few of my fav items! I will link what I can in my LTK shop (in my bio). What are some kitchen finds you would recommend?

Another before and after. This was a tough one for me as I couldn’t decide between something simple and modern or a little more ornate and traditional. We settled on modern and it goes well with the rest of the house although I see myself opting for a fancier mantel in the future 🤷‍♀️🙃 I also want to get the surface plastered, too. Nothing is ever truly finished!

Just a few spring break snapshots. We headed back to Santa Barbara for a few days. Stayed in Montecito this time and walked through Summerland for an afternoon. We also took the girls to Solvang for the first time since Chloe was a toddler. Enjoyed lots of iced coffee, ocean views, scenic walks and delicious meals. So glad we are raising kids who love to explore and take easy breezy trips ☀️

The coffee bar! If you followed along in my stories, this was a last-minute change that was only made possible because the original cabinets we ordered were missing a part for installation. When I saw the open space, I knew we needed to install open shelves instead. We brought the backsplash up which was a nice upgrade. I love this little nook so much. No regrets (even though the original cabinets are still sitting in a box in my dining room 😆). More before and afters to come!
