Something different for the Artwalk this coming weekend, Oct.3-4, in Newmarket Ontario. These are the last pieces of a fashion collection I created a nu of years ago. All matted to 11”x14”, standard size. All One of a Kind stitched illustrations. They are $35 ea. If you see one or 3 that absolutely would look fabulous on your wall please just DM. I will ship within Canada , and shipping cost to be determined- but will point out same shipping price for 1 as for 3!!!

Can’t find it…. For some reason… the lovely ceramic button I chose for the last piece of artwork I need to finish for the upcoming Newmarket Artwalk, Oct. 3-4, is missing….
I guess that means you’ll have to pop in during the Artwalk to see if I found it!!

Artist Spotlight: Heike Blohm. Heike Blohm loves using vintage and repurposed textiles in her stitched landscape artwork — the feeling of history and being able to reuse fabric for her work is very important. The Canadian landscape is a constant source of inspiration for Heike, as she breaks down what she sees into colours, textures, and patterns held together with stitching. Fun with cards!! My friend Charlene volunteered to sort, organize and pack my cards in prep for the Newmarket Artwalk. She’s been at it for at least 3 hrs and is not quite done yet….who says artists don’t lead a glamourous life!! While she was dealing w the cards I was wrestling w getting a few finally finished pieces of artwork into their frames … which I had to walk away from because I was swearing too much and not making headway. Some days you need to switch gears…..

Annual Newmarket Artwalk, Oct.3-4means I’m Busy busy busy… figuring out framing and cutting mats. The square piece is not quite finished but it will be for the Artwalk. I’ll be set up @themarcgroupinc 194 Main St. S. Newmarket Ontario. It’s such a good show w over 40 different artists in different venues in and around Main St. Easy walking to the artists and plenty of places to eat and fuel up!
