It’s a special day, one I’ve dreamed about for a long time. The launch of heimat collective. 🤎

There’s a word that has followed me for a long time — Heimat. In German, it translates to “home” or “homeland,” but its meaning reaches deeper than that: belonging, memory, and the quiet feeling of being grounded in a place, a purpose, a way of seeing the world.

That idea became the heart of heimat collective.

I grew up in my father’s workshop in Hawaii, surrounded by sawdust, hand tools, and the rhythm of making. I watched him build our first home from the ground up, and learned early that design is not only what we see, but what we carry forward.

From that beginning to a lifelong path through interiors, materials, and craftsmanship, I’ve always been drawn to things made with intention — things that hold history, care, and permanence.

heimat collective is an extension of that journey: a curated collection of art, furniture, textiles, and wallcoverings shaped by craft, material honesty, and enduring design.

It’s about creating spaces that feel personal, layered, and deeply lived in — like home in its most meaningful sense.

I’m deeply grateful and so excited to step into this next chapter as the founder of heimat collective, and to finally share what has been quietly taking shape for so long.
