Titan has been an amazing dog for my daughter Kailani. With her Tourettes syndrome sometimes things get really hard and he has been amazing at recognizing when she needs calming and will come and lay down by her during tic attacks. They have a bond no other child in our family has. It’s beautiful. She left yesterday for another summer adventure and will miss him so much. She wanted a shoot of the two of them to document their friendship. I absolutely love how these portraits turned out. @kailani_lok 💕💕

When I take images from camera sd card to my editing workflow I struggle on which look to go with. I love how one image can look and feel so different depending on the edit. Today’s options, cool, warm or black and white. Which one is your favorite edit for this photo?

For her 21st birthday she traveled to Thailand and received a blessing from a monk but also it in the form of a tattoo. Beauty and light show up in this world in many forms and To be able to document this for her was an honor. @atseawtea by @heirloombarnstudios

Isn’t she stunning?! I wish you could get to know her. She is even more beautiful on the inside! Truly an amazing woman! This girl has all before age 21 lived on a sail boat, traveled to multiple countries, spent a summer adventuring in Alaska and is wise beyond her years. She carries so much love in her heart and is truly going places. Places she will no doubt make an impact on people’s lives in incredible ways.

My favorite part about using my camera to create, is the people. I don’t just want to photograph you. I want you to feel heard, seen and celebrated. @atseawtea

WPPI in Las Vegas was a wonderful week of connecting with friends, making new friends and gaining more education. It was great fun too! I haven’t posted much about it as right when I got back we had a death in our family. I did have some time to edit a bit today and these are my favorites. Thank you @alainarenee__ !

This was my first set of edits using both Photoshop & @evotoai and I have to say I am absolutely impressed with the software Evoto.AI has created. A perfect addition to my creative workflow. by @heirloombarnstudios

When my husband and I were Newlyweds something wonderful happened to us. We met new friends who introduced us to a very well known multi-level marketing business. Even though we aren’t part of it anymore, despite the bad rap mlm’s get, we have nothing but incredible memories and invaluable life lessons from our friends and mentors. One of the things that was introduced to us that was a new concept to me was the power of your mind. The power of your speech. The importance of putting good in to your brain daily. We were encouraged to read everyday in a success principle book and listen to successful people daily. Also, The concept of iron sharpens iron has always stayed with us. Surround yourself with people who lift you up. Encourage your goals and dreams and support you in them and can help you achieve them.
.
It was often said if you are the sharpest one in the room you are in the wrong room. These ideas are largely what push me to get myself into rooms where I can be stretched by others. This hasn’t always been easy. Once, I found myself during Sundance in the beginning of my filmmaking journey, with about 20 filmmakers, many of who had DP’d for Netflix, won Sundance etc. , a bunch of RED cameras, and felt like puking because voices told me I didn’t belong. I’m so thankful for the lessons we learned many years ago from our mentors because it was that that pushed me to stay and learn. ..And pushes me to attend conferences and workshops and to walk up and shake the hand of people I admire.
.
Jonny , a photographer but so much more. A creative , and a mastermind is based in Colorado. I first started following his work quietly a few years back. About only a month in he suffered an awful random attack outside his studio getting stabbed and nearly passing. I have quietly watched his work and dedication since and have admired the grit, the strength and determination he has. It was such an honor to be able to spend about 20 min photographing him at @wppi before things got busy at the expo floor. Every time I shoot I learn so much. When I can shoot someone as talented as Jonny it’s tenfold. Thanks @jonnycreative ! From one creative to another — Keep making magic! taken in Utah, USA by @heirloombarnstudios
