Scrappy wall hanging and a pic of me happy as a clam with a matching sunset in the bay.

If I do a mend or alteration that I find boring or mind numbing. I’ve started to take the thread and pick fabric scraps to make a lil mini piece to bring back some whimsy and no pressure creativity back into my day.

Process and finished shots of my very first baby quilt + Quillow!!

I’ve steered clear for a lot of hand work and embroidery with RA but this one was made with so much patience, rest, time and love to welcome a special lil one into this world. Sure hope these linen scraps and wonky hand stitches treat Enzo well 💙

Quillow was inspired by a thrifted fake printed twin quilt I found..
I’m not sure why all quilts don’t have an added transformer pillow pocket, but i hope to change that. Just imagine every pillow in your house a comfy blanket in seconds flat.

There’s a quick lil folding tutorial in the reel..

•Lay down Quilt, pillow pocket side down,
•fold quilt into thirds along pocket seams
•Then fold into thirds in other direction..
•Place hands inside pillow, hold and Flip it all inside out.
Quilt to Quillow!
