My last night in Reykjavik, dinner over with @icespice7 and her wife Harpa and daughter Friða. @palloskar stopped by and I’m wondering if this Icelandic pop star has fallen on hard times. He ended up doing a private show for 4 year old Friða, and when he finished she paid him handsomely, one (old currency) króna ! taken in Reykjavík, Iceland by @heklina

Random Reykjavik memories old and new. @lolavonheart and her Heart Attack revue at @kikiqueerbar, the old Reykjavik library where I went for books in English as a child, the Punk museum, a gorgeous cat, a Christmas Store open 24/7, and more. taken in Reykjavík by @heklina

These are the months @palloskar is busiest, with gig after gig. He begged me to NOT attend this one, but I just had to. A school ball for 13-15 year old kids, with a dreadful sound system . But I loved it, especially all the little kids singing along to “Eg Er Eins Og Ég Er” (I Am What I Am), singing and dancing to this gay anthem . Who says we aren’t grooming the children ? taken in Austurbæjarskóli by @heklina

The portents were ominous, with rain up until the last minute before doors opened. But! The goddesses were on our side, and the rain stayed away for what was a stellar opening to our Daytime Realness 2023 season ! Our next party is April 16, with special guest @yvessaintcroissant ! taken in El Rio by @heklina

Coco Peru’s show tonight was, of course, brilliant.
