Kwaidan or ghost stories

It is a collection of short stories that are filled with many different themes and many of them are universal, because all people can find meaning in them. As for the performance of Kwaidan(that was performed a month ago) we took three stories. In brief they were about an artist’s true skills despite the circumstances, hunger of a young being and danger of ego causing personal destruction. We also had two transitions after the first and the second story and in them we danced with a familiar ghost. I believe that when a person dies their spirit lives on, through actions that are dear to them. Milton Makoni loved to create choreography in order to inspire people to see beauty not only in dance, but in the gift of being alive. While being with his garment on the stage, I felt like his passion for the gift of being alive was uplifted to the sky and that it later flew down to the audience. Later it left me feeling honoured to have known such a powerful person and inspired to keep on performing in order to bring stories and their spirit to life.
