Incredible scenes @phoenixrunninguk today as I managed my 100th half. 100! If you'd told me I'd do that many when I did my first (Hackney, 2014) I would fully have slapped you in the face.

Did I basically walk it while gossiping with @sometimesmovies and @abartfisher? I plead the fifth. But for all it was slow it was an excellent day and there was cake. by @heleno84

Aw yeah, half #99 is in the bag, baby! Big thanks to @phoenixrunninguk as ever for a cheeky little Friday morning on the river. Not my fastest ever, or close, but it was a beautiful day and there were many well-groomed dogs to admire en route. Now brb, I hear the Mr Whippy van and I owe myself a 99 proper. by @heleno84

Happy Star Trek Day! Ya girl is now a world record breaker, as one of the 1000 or so people to perform the largest simultaneous Vulcan salute ever performed @sciencemuseum for the show's 60th anniversary. Incredible scenes, immaculate vibes, excellent people I randomly chatted to throughout. Even the Tube got in on the action (skip to the end). by @heleno84

Screw the Oscars, BAFTAs & Golden Globes… last night at the esteemed @empiremagazine Live Podcast at @kingsplacelondon I was presented with the ‘Golden Podcast Award’ for being the most frequent Guest on the live show, and this, believe me, is what real achievement looks like folks…

Along with the inimitable Empire Pod team: @ctah1976 , @heleno84, @benstravis & @jamescdyer we discussed the most efficient way to organise your physical media collection, answered a series of nerve-wracking questions (my specialist subject was #JohnCarpenters ‘The Thing’) in a quiz reminiscent of, but definitely not ‘MasterMind’ only hosted by an intimidating Gandalf/Magneto/McKellen voiced Chris Hewitt as ‘Magneto Magnetossen’, gave out some #WhistleMovie swag, plugged my Shawshank themed ‘Cine-Supper’ and the upcoming @chiddinglyfestival and was encouraged to pull off a flying Kung Fu Kick in front of the baying crowd, by way of celebration!

And who was I to shy away from such a request? Thanks for the hospitality, hilarity & cinematic silliness Empire Pod Gang & Audience! What fun.

Another fun #EmpirePodcastLive last night, with @corinhardy as our guest and an informed, engaged and stunningly handsome audience as always. Next year marks our 15th anniversary and hopefully a tour, definitely a live show-apalooza in April. Be there or be square; it's gonna be mega. by @heleno84

Oh man, what fun. Our live shows at @kingsplacelondon are always a blast, and last night’s @londonpodfest show was no exception. More of An Evening With The Empire Podcast than a retread of this week’s regular pod (available now, wherever you cast your pods), it featured the live debut of Not Mastermind For Legal Reasons, with your host Magneto Magnetosson; an impromptu Mount Rushmore that featured Thanos’ chin and MODOK’s little bum; Helen putting her fingers in her ears for two minutes straight as Peter Lorre made an unexpected appearance; and much, much more, including a heartwarming theme that emerged about the importance of physical media. My colleagues of such lethal cunning — @heleno84 @benstravis and @jamescdyer — were all on wonderful form, and the crowd were delightful. Thanks to everyone who came.

Which includes, of course, @corinhardy, who answered a very late call to be our guest for the evening, and was a delight, receiving his coveted Golden Podcast award for becoming the guest with most live Empire Podcast appearances under their belt, and celebrating by doing one of his famous flying kicks on stage. For the first time ever in front of an audience, apparently.

We’ll be back to do it all again next year as we celebrate the pod’s 15th anniversary with an all-day celebration (and hopefully a tour — VENUES AND FESTIVALS, REACH OUT TO ME IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN HAVING US ALONG). Tickets will be on sale soon, along with a date announcement, which helps. Half marathon #98 is DONE, thank you. Gorgeous morning on the Thames and immaculate vibes as always @phoenixrunninguk. It was a big event this morning with lots of appallingly fast people and cheerful young people and yet I soldiered on, despite being elderly and sloooow and having a headcold. by @heleno84

I went to EMF Camp, aka Glastonbury for nerds, and this year I managed to attend a couple of cool workshops and made a light up hat and learned how to embroider with LEDs. Honestly incredible fun and I need to figure out more ways to play with this. by @heleno84
