(((No guitarists, no vocalists, nor blondes were harmed in the making of this post.)))

A little Helianthus update and assorted shenanigans.

@lavra.beach went up to Raleigh to visit @hellskald, where they managed to get the bulk of the vocal tracking done, hang out with some exceptionial puppies, indulge in excellent eats & coffee, catch @xasthur_official1 @templeofthefuzzwitch & @antiquitync and generally have a damn good time.

Something wicked is finally blooming.

This one might be a keeper.

Tracking solos for the @helianthusmetal full-length by @helianthusmetal

Shredding out my guitar tracks for the @helianthusmetal record, and ooh it feels good to lay this stuff down. There is truly a kind of joy to this music, even amid its fury and despair. With members stretching North and South as an Appalachian constellation, this record will be one of great triumph. Get hyped. #helianthus #blackmetal #recording #electricguitar by @helianthusmetal

We had a great weekend of rehearsal down in Raleigh, and we begin recording the full-length a month from now. It's finally happening, folks! Thanks for sticking with us. #helianthus #helianthusmetal #melodicblackmetal #triumphantmaximalistmelodicblackmetal #usbm by @helianthusmetal

Baltimore photo dump.

@ministryofbrewing, @helianthusmetal practice, @bmoreseafood, Helianthus photoshoot.
Bonus, @chrisbeach0 & @hayleycbeach 's animals.

I got out of Atlanta for a weekend to practice with some of my closest friends and do a band photo shoot. And it was good to get out and hang too.

Big thanks to my brother & SIL for putting me up for a night. Another big thanks to @feedthescene for housing most of Heli for two nights. Also big thanks to @sekengard for letting us use their practice space at @orionstudios_baltimoreusa .
Another big thanks to @leianicolephoto for taking our pictures.

We are eternally grateful.
Big things growing. 🌻 ⚔️

Greetings!

New music is on the horizon! The first Helianthus song featuring our new bassist, Nick, is coming very soon! The 5 of us are extremely proud of this track and can’t wait to bring it to light. Helianthus is back!

IN BALTIMORE, THEY'RE EATING THE GUITARS. THE METALLERS THAT CAME IN. THEY'RE EATING THE DRUMS. THEY'RE EATING-THEY'RE EATING THE BASSES.

We promise you, we're hard at work. Serious business.

Real talk, we wish @elanti_percussion could be here but Mother Nature had other plans.

But big thanks to @dejikami from @sekengard #sekengard for letting us borrow their space at @orionstudios_baltimoreusa for a bit.

Hey folks! Things have been very quiet in our camp, but we wanted to give you a couple of very important updates!

First, we would like to announce that Nick Bonsanto (@porcelain_borealis) of the very excellent bands @empresslegion and @lorbandofficial has become the new bassist of Helianthus! We are very excited about this, as he is a fantastic musician and person, and we're looking forward to what he brings to the table.

Which brings us to our next topic - the rest of us have been rather busy with other projects, bands, and just life. However, we're finally scheduling in-person rehearsals and hope that 2024 is the year that we put out our full-length. More news on that to come.

Thanks for sticking with us!
