This weather has me ready to get in the water!! I recently captured the newest swimwear that is launching very soon! Designed by a dermatologist and is upf 50+ swim and activewear! Meet @helioshield ☀️☀️ I met Ashley early on in her designing process. To see the final products in her hands was amazing!! She has poured her heart and soul into this brand. And I’m so thankful I was able to capture her product and launch photos 🎉 models: @jpapillon15 @aboutalexisnap @danibertschy studio: @thestudioonsampson booking summer brands for June and July! by @helioshield
It’s hard to capture all the work, joy, stress, self discovery, and impact of the past year in a 1 minute reel. The idea to start Helioshield hit me like a lighting bolt one day. And that voice telling me to just start got louder and louder. Step by step I built this brand from the ground up (actually from 6 feet under would be more accurate 😂). I had to learn not only how to build clothing but how to build a website, a brand, a budget. It’s been SO worth it so far- in the past 2.5 months my community has really shown up and it’s been unbelievable to see my pieces on real women. I’ve learned so much not only about myself but about all of you and what you need. And I’m only getting started. Thanks for being here. Follow along as I figure it out. by @helioshield

What’s a ghoul gotta do to get some eternal rest?! by @helioshield
Fun fact: this man got a SUNBURN at the hotel pool while I was taking my dermatology board exams. 🙄 Unless he bags another dermatologist when I’m gone who else is going to make sure he’s wearing his sunscreen and packing his rash guards? Thanks @blair_switch_project for doing it for the gram. 👻 by @helioshield
Skin cancer is one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Don’t wait until you get one to start protecting your skin! UPF clothing is the most reliable way to protect your skin from UV rays. It’s easy and doesn’t need to be reapplied. I’ve made pieces you’ll gladly swap your bikini for that are as gorgeous as they are comfortable. Start today, your future skin will thank you. ☀️ by @helioshield
It’s time you got smart about your skin. Yes, the sun causes skin cancer. Yes, sun protection can save your life. Start protecting your skin now, don’t wait until your first skin cancer. Thank you @donnadraketv on CBS for having me. It’s so important to spread the word about the dangers of skin cancer and what you can do to protect yourself. As a dermatologist I believe UPF clothing is the most reliable form of sun protection so I made @helioshield to make it easy and beautiful. Here’s part of my interview on CBS. A conversation between me and one of my entrepreneur friends. Most days I feel good but a lot of days I do feel truly insane. I had it good good as a dermatologist. Why did I decide to upend my life and start an apparel brand? I’ve got to have a few screws loose. Last month my son told me he hated my swimsuits because I was spending too much time working on my website. That was the day I almost quit. I’m learning to better “balance” my time (though I don’t think true balance exists). One of my favorite quotes is “be where your feet are” If you’re with family- devote all time to your family. If you’re at work- put all your energy there. When you’re in one place don’t worry about the other. To all my customers- thank you. I keep going for you because YOU deserve better UPF clothing. Preventing and treating skin cancer is my life’s mission and Helioshield is just a part of that. I have this deep seated belief that this is what I’m supposed to be doing. Thank you for being here. 💖 by @helioshield
