I haven’t posted on my actual page in awhile. There’s a lot of things I haven’t done in some time. Including this, learning a song on an instrument. Music is such a big part of me, it’s always been my primary form of expression. There’s been times in my adulthood I’ve been soooo in the trenches, that using my most vulnerable form to express myself was honestly too painful. I stopped singing for awhile, nothing beyond a hum to myself. There was a time where I thought that me spending time away from music was impossible, but here I am, coming back after taking literal YEARS off. I guess it was never far- I couldn’t REALLY stop singing even if I tried, though it was definitely less. Practicing is going to look a little different now..there’s going to be loud voices, little feet, background noise & the call of responsibilities. I’ve come back to myself n ventured off again plenty of times by now but I’d like to think it’s never too late to try again. Today, it’s learning a song…tomorrow, I’ll be writing again. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified. I still have a lot to figure out/work thru/accomplish & a baby isn’t a medium for that! But when I found out I was pregnant I knew I was going to do everything in my power to do right by this new little life of mine! I’ve always wanted to be a younger parent but finding out it’s actually happening brought about one of my biggest fears…will I be a good parent? This is the best I’ve taken care of myself in awhile but I still spend many nights crying over it. I know I will not be perfect & I will make mistakes but my baby is going to be SO LOVED, so well taken care of, & they have parents that are more than ready to learn & unlearn to be the best that we can be, n give u better than we’ve ever had! I am afraid but I am OVERJOYED and I cannot wait to meet you, my little one ❤️ (jk take your time cookin!! No rush 😂)
