I’ve been getting some new followers lately and I just wanna say hi to all the new faces! My name is Cayla I’ve been tattooing for 10 years come September. This is literally my dream job and I am so grateful for you all to help me live out my dream. While you’re excited that you get a new tattoo, I’m excited that you’ve chosen me to do your artwork. I’m honored every day that someone wants ME to do their tattoo… little me would be so insanely proud of where I’m at today and think it’s the coolest that people want me to do my artwork on them… you make my dreams come true and I really just can’t say enough about how grateful I am. You guys I NEED more back pieces. Who would be down for a raffle?? I’ve been thinking about selling raffle tickets for a back piece at a dollar per entry. Vibes would be ornamental/ floral/ gothic architecture inspired. It could be a collab or I can draw up something for you to win! What are your thoughts? I’ve never done a raffle before so I’d love to hear any ideas you guys have! Comment below! Let me know what you think!

Also moon wasn’t done by me. It was her first ever tattoo and it had to be kept 🥀❤️ so we brightened it up to come alive with the rest of the piece around it.

Which photos of the tattoo do we like better? The first two were taken on my iPhone and the last two on my $2000 Fuji film xs20 🙈

Usually I prefer the Fujifilm but something about the way I had the lighting that day was NOT it 😂

NO WAY! So this design was inspired by the L.O.R.D.S. book series and the author posted it in her blog!!! (Last slide) this is so cool!! So not only did my client get a sick cathedral tattoo to keep with her forever, she gets bragging rights that the author that inspired it loved it so much she shared it with her fans 😭😭😭

Creating something you wear… My client came in wanting something but didn’t know what… we had talked about two concepts. Two variations of beetles, which I had drawn and ready for when she arrived. She loved both but we couldn’t decide… In the end I ended up showing her something I drew that I thought she might get even more excited about! We had not talked about this prior to the appointment but I’ve been working with her for a while now and after so many sessions you kind of get a feel for what people are into. So when I showed her this, she tried it on and it felt like the PERFECT design for her. A beautiful little gothic moth with some filigree and jewels elegantly dripping down her hand. She even said she’s been dreaming about something that goes down her hand like that! When you find the right artist we start to read your mind a little 🙈

She couldn’t be happier! Loving a piece that she gets to wear and show off in her daily life.

Adding some flow and filler to the empty areas of a patchwork sleeve. I love the ornamental vibes on this baddie… the only part I’ve done is the very dark areas on this one 🫶 but isn’t that butterfly one gorgeous??
