The cassette release show was a huge success! First run of tapes is officially sold out…tysm to everyone who came and listened and picked one up. Thanks to the bands Some are Bunnies, Philophilm, and my set co-collaborator @asflutist for bringing the amazing ambient vibes. Thanks to @johnnyarlett for the incredible visuals. Lastly, a big thank you to @pierogi.palace for hosting all of us and making space for experimental music in Pittsburgh. @alejandro__me__ graciously captured our set on camera, which you can watch in full on YouTube. Just search for “hellcat sneer” and you’ll find it. Here are a couple of my favorite moments from the set. ❤️ by @hellcat_sneer

It’s a beautiful day to tickle the ivories outside on the front porch. Forgive me for my stiff fingers. I’ve been practicing writing in different keys and styles as a way to get more comfortable across the keyboard. This one is gospel blues-inspired in Bmaj. In other news, the cassette release show is this Friday 9/18! Hope to see you there ❤️ by @hellcat_sneer

Hellcat Sneer tape release show✨ Featuring… Some Are Bunnies (@bopowersmusic @fidalgolaura @insignificantlittlebinder) Some Are Bunnies is a quantum experience, a fracture in time and space, ecstatic ambient washes with an ear to emotional experimentation. Philophilm (@kzh4ng @liacole7 @t.se.ae) Philophilm is a thin, iridescent organism found on the surface of the still water. Depending on the wind and temperature, its composition reorganizes among keys, synth, winds, contact mic, amplified objects, and singing bowls. Hellcat Sneer with André Solomon (@hellcat_sneer @asflutist) Spontaneous ambient music for flute, keys, percussion modeling synthesizer, and processed field recordings. Featuring live visuals by Johnny Arlett @johnnyarlett Date: September 18th, 2026 Location: Pierogi Palace (DM for address) Time: 7pm doors. 8pm music. $10-15 NOTAFLOF by @hellcat_sneer

Did you know that the name Hellcat Sneer is an anagram of chanterelles? Nothing says summer to me quite like scouring the forest floor for these edible treasures. And for the first time ever I had the pleasure of bringing my boy along. As you can see, there is something else amidst the mushrooms… I’m really excited to announce my first ever cassette release! “Ambient Works For Tummy Time” is comprised of six pieces for drum synthesizer and processed field recordings. The music was composed live for my son back in snowy January 2026, as he learned to roll from his back to his belly. Cassette release show is slated for September, more details TBA. Limited run of 30ish copies with accompanying download code will be available real soon! #pittsburghmusic #pittsburghmusicscene taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @hellcat_sneer
