The race might have been tough, but one thing’s for sure: Chicago knows how to show up. ❤️‍🔥

The city is absolutely beautiful, and I’ve never ran a marathon with so much cheering!!

Let’s be real, running a marathon is not always rainbows and butterflies.

I had a really good training block leading up to Chicago, and genuinely believed I was ready for a good race. But nothing went the way I hoped.

I wanted to quit more times than I can count, and honestly, I still don’t really understand what went wrong.

But I kept going. And I got that medal.

Not the race I wanted, but hopefully the one I needed.

One for perseverance. One for mental strength. One to remind myself that progress isn’t always linear.

CHICAGO MARATHON FINISHER!! 3:11 is definitely not the time I trained for, but I wanted to quit 10 times and I didn’t and that’s the real win today. 🥹🩵

More later!!

2026, the year of the never-ending summer. 🌈☀️

At this point I’m convinced summer runs are just following me around. Even in Chicago in October. 😍

More than 21.1K! A few moments from Copenhagen we wanted to keep ✨🎞️

Race weekend draait om meer dan alleen de tijd op de klok. De vroege ochtenden, de spanning, de stad, de mensen om je heen en alles wat er tussendoor gebeurt.
