“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

The founding dog of Showdown. I never had the blessing of a dog’s unconditional love until Vader. From puppy to old man you climbed many mountains, fought a goat in Spenard, stole a lot of bread and loved lasers.

Living with you was non stop fun (I’m sorry I dressed you up so much). Thank you for so many fun times, thank you for your weird smile that always made me laugh, thank you for being there during some of the hardest times and holding on during such a hard summer when we needed your love the most. Ray and I sure will miss you. by @hellenkillah

Long story short : We got challenged by Alaska fans of Crankdat to bring his 360 show up here. At first I didn’t think we could do it but our crew convinced us they could pull it off. (I love being proved wrong) After about 20 hours of production work, the 360 show was born.

Proud of our crew especially my little brother @rune.scape_ and Ray for this design. Thanks to Williwaw Crew for letting us host quite the rager. Thanks to @lloydsnoize and @__zaykamusic__ for the insane opening sets. Thanks especially to our wonderful friends and fans that came to support, you make these long days worth it. 🙏

I realized when I was young, I wasn’t meant for the spotlight. I always enjoyed giving opportunities for people to let go of everything they had in them, behind-the-scenes, if only for a moment. That crowd noise from the anticipation of a headliner arriving on stage. That first beam of light before the beat drops. That meant so much more to me than anything else.

Whenever I’m feeling lost or low, I look at videos of you all lost in a moment at one of our shows. The passion and vibrance that our city audience has is something that cannot be replicated. Anchorage has inspired me so much. No matter how bad things get we’ve always had each other and we’ve never been afraid to truly let go and live in a moment.

Music will always be my passion. Giving those moments of happiness to our audience will always be my passion. Getting older is hard. I don’t feel or look the same as ten years ago and today I was reminded of that. Insecurity has a way of sneaking in but in a low moment I looked through the past ten years and it gave me so much life. I love my friends, my family, my team and everyone we get to work with. Im blessed to have made my dream come true. I know I’m lucky to say that and I don’t take it lightly. But know that so many of you were right by my side helping me. So thank you.

This month marks 10 years of Showdown and 20 years of doing shows in Alaska.

Sometimes I close my eyes and I’m still the kid hanging up flyers for a local show. I still love it after all of these years.

This post is dedicated to the thousands of people that have helped me along the way and the core people who helped us get to where we are now.

9 days ago we got the offer to do a pop-up Hannibal Buress show and couldn’t say no. Super grateful for the team @williwawsocial and @showdownalaska for pulling it off so flawlessly.

Tonight we filmed an entire special in Bootleggers Cove for him that will air soon. An entire weekend of rain ended in one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve seen in such a long time.

Feeling grateful for everyone that buys tickets, helps and performs. We are very lucky. 🙏 taken in Anchorage, Alaska by @hellenkillah

Was lucky enough to host two huge nights with Fred Armisen and Annie Hart. Such a fantastic group of humans on this tour and a great team to do it with.
